No black holes this week, just a return to more "typical" CI fare--a dysfunctional family. Throw in some wealth, ambition, power, corruption, and illicit sex and you have all the ingredients for a Major Case case. Or maybe not.
ROFL moment of the night: Tio Nando spares no expense to hide his face entering the airport parking lot, but practically waves his hand with the gold Rolex into the lens of the surveillance camera.
No insult intended against Nichols and Stevens, but Goren would have had a field day with this family with some Eames snark for good measure as an additional bonus.

Yeah, the plot was pretty tired on this one. The daughter in law would have broken out at various different times in this day and age - so that didn't ring true to me. I am also growing to like Saffron and her character. Jeff is cracking me up with his facial expressions - they are gems. My favorite of this episode was walking along behind the captain early on in the show. Not sorry I watched it - still liking the show better than the last few seasons - but let's get some modern plots going. I don't think the writers know how a variety of humans live or what motivates them, are they all older white male writers ? (snark of my own)

I'm ashamed to say I completely forgot there was a new episode this evening. I feel like I must apologize to all the Goldblum fans out there.

Oh - the title True Legacy - so was the legacy from the dictator great grandfather? Was it human nature? Was it oringinal sin? Or was it just a title

As far as the title is concerned, I just figured that they couldn't use the title "Legacy" since that one was already taken, so they changed it up a bit. This episode was better than last week's silly "Dark Shadows" take off. Great idea to center the episode around New York City's famous street corner food trucks. I never thought about how cutthroat that world might be. I wasn't convinced by the daughter-in-laws terror that the family would actually kill her if she left. After all, she was the mother of the little boy. And in that same vein, Marta's character wasn't fleshed out enough to make me believe that she would arrange for her own son's murder. I just didn't buy it. Why did they have yet another episode involving family incest? Didn't we have that last season with "Playing Dead," the stepdaughter who conceived her stepfather's child? Boring.

Oh - I remember my days of working with factory peeps - some of those guys would eat at the Roach Coach every day and they bought a lot ! I think if they have a good building to service, they can really make some money, Good Point.
I felt Marta was fleshed out enough for me to want to kill her "unworthy" son, but I do agree that more would have made it flow much better. Maybe a little more about her goals and how this son would be a barrier to that.
