I've been thinking that I'm doing ok with accepting there will be no new episodes with Goren and Eames. That I'm doing fine with reruns and DVDS and such.
Then this morning I was getting gas and caffeine at the Speedway. As I returned to my car, there was a guy walking into the store. He wore dark glasses, a nice suit, a patterned tie, and a pale blue suit. He wasn't as tall as Mr. D'Onofrio, but he was on the bulky side.
And I just missed Bobby. Dang emotional involvements with fictional characters (g).

I can relate PC. Mrs. T and I go through hockey withdrawal after the season ends. Although her withdrawal is a lot more specific and focused as yours is. Unlike your withdrawal however, hockey will return soon; new G/E will not.
Aah, summer can't end soon enough. Just as predictable as the swallows return to Capistrano in March, the sights and sounds of body checks and curl & drags will return. Thank heavens for CSN, MSG, and NHL Center Ice.

I can relate too. It's hard to believe that there will be no new Goren episodes. Not ever. Reruns are fine, but the anticipation, the excitement of new G/E episodes in the near future was what kept most of us going. It's highly unlikely, but there is still the possibility of a guest appearance by VDO or Erbe. If the ratings continue to slide, TPTB may entice one of them to reprise their role for one episode. It would get the boards (and the fans) buzzing again.

I keep having this image of the two of them giving a joint appearance as the new crew attends their WEDDING! I never shipped before, but . . . I don't know, I just feel these two deserve whatever happiness they can find, not happy ever after but a bit of happiness on their terms.

I know exactly what you mean, Patcat. I've had Bobby withdrawal ever since April 6! And as much as I'd love a guest appearance, I do not believe it will ever happen. Considering what Vincent said about being tired of feeling like a "toaster for NBC" and all that.
However - and this is a very, very big IF...I could see a return only as a two-hour movie type thing, just to wrap up loose ends when the show ends its final season. But then I think about who we are dealing with here, and how long it took TPTB to agree to do Exiled and give Logan fans some idea of what happened to him. Of course, us Logan-philes were given quite a treat when he came over to CI, too. But alas, given the current climate at the networks, I really don't think anyone cares enough about LOCI to do that.
It's a nice fantasy though. And if USA wanted to really boost the lackluster ratings LOCI got after Loyalty Part 2, a G/E two hour special would sure do the trick. Of course, that owes to the fact that KE & VDO would even consider returning...

A movie would be great as long as G/E would be the stars. I felt they were just secondary characters during Loyalty. Do I think TPTB would go for this? No, unfortunately but miracles do happen. As to my withdrawal? Sadly to say that while dog-sitting earlier today, I popped in a game of The Sims into the computer and made a 'Goren' family. I made 'Robert' a cop...and I realized then that I have issues.
