Please note the question marks. And please note that all that follows is sheer and utter wishful thinking and/or speculation on my part.
There's already rumors that LOCI has been cancelled. There's also rumors that Mr. D'Onofrio is coming back, with or without Ms. Erbe. Or that Ms. Erbe is coming back, with or without Mr. D'Onofrio. All rumors. No facts.
What I'd love to see is a film that would clear things up and end more satisfactorly. Perhaps Goren and Eames return as special investigators to unravel Chief Moran's nefarious doings. They discover a link between him and Frank Adair, and they expose all sorts of wrong doings in the NYPD. They vindicate Captain Deakins, expose that filthy DA who drove off Logan, and Moran is led away in handcuffs. Goren and Eames are offered high positions in the NYPD. They look at each other, turn in their badges and guns (again), and walk off into the sunset. If you're a shipper, they can hold hands. If not, they just walk off.

You've been reading my mind? I had those same thoughts after "Loyalty" aired. Only I didn't have Goren & Eames walking off into the sunset. Funny thing is, the scenerio would have been such a much better episode!

I'm intrigued. What would you have Goren and Eames doing?

I think your premise was exemplary.

In my "Loyalty," Deakins wasn't present and Ross was dirty. During their investigation, G&E discover Ross and Moran are more than just poker buddies (not what you're thinking). With his ties to Ross, Nichols is even suspect. Frank Adair had been pulling strings all along. That's about as far as I got. I didn't have Goren and Eames doing anything!

I like all these ideas. But I'd have Bobby end up taking a government intelligence job and end on him hinting that Eames should look into it, too. The last shot would be of her with that sly smile and raised eyebrows. Ambiguous, but hopeful.

I wonder whether Bobby ever told Eames he's with the FBI, and whether it pissed her off that he did it while they were still partners.

I saw the end of LOYALTY last night on NBC (did they finally manage to show both parts?), and once again I was angered by how Goren and Eames (and also Mr. D'Onofrio and Ms. Erbe) were treated. But enough of that.
I think Eames did know that Bobby was working with the FBI. She was with him in trying to persuade Nichols to allow Hassan off. Like Bobby, she wasn't happy with it, but she was with him. And didn't Bobby start working with the FBI (if he was working with them--I'm not sure if he was or if the Feds were usin him as a messenger) only after he was suspended?

It's never stated whether she knew or not. If she knew, wouldn't she be less sad when she had to fire him? And if she didn't know, won't she be pissed later on when she finds out?
Man, they really did screw our heroes over didn't they?

There was never a more sorry, anger inducing episode than this one.

The more I think about it, the more I see that there are a lot of holes in the plot, and a lot of actions that were out of character for Bobby. But as it was the last episode with our two, I dion't know whether it should be accepted as canon or not.

I wasn't under the impression that Goren had been hired by the FBI, just that he was allowed to work with them so he wouldn't get in their way.

You were right Patcat, rumors became reality. I really do wonder if this wasn't just a publicity scam lead by Mr Dick Wolf himself to boost interest in LOCI. Only it was done poorly. I was left with bad taste in my mouth every time I wached Loyalty. It was a bad ending for G/E team, it troubled me for days. They put so much effort to develop characters and then... ''puff'' off they go... yeah I know I know ..can't let it go Oh I'm so for your '' sheer and utter wishful thinking ''. That would be a real '' plan to give it the world-class farewell it so richly deserves ''. Only in my ending Bobby finaly gets a woman that doesn't want to kill, use or abuse him ( just makes delicius meals and takes care of him - you know ''mummying'' )and takes offered high position in the NYPD. Since I can't picture Alex ''mummying'' Bobby I want her to walk off into the sunset with that cute detective from Silencer

As soon as Alex hangs up the phone after telling the CoDs she's not taking the Captain's exam, she immediately picks up the phone and calls her PBA rep to report the "extortion" she just experienced. Goren has a friend at the Ledger, once the press gets wind of everything, heads roll. The top head rolling will be the CoDs.
