I have been thinking since I first heard the news what I would most like to see in the 8 episodes we have coming. Most of all I would love to see Eames as his partner, their partnership is one of the big reasons I love the show not to mention that I don't want to waste the first few episodes of Goren having to adjust to working with someone new. I want them to be the well oiled machine they were in the first 5 seasons and to have a supportive captain, whomever that might be. I would love to see Whoopie Goldberg return and Goren look up his old friend Mike Logan to help with the case. I would love to see a dark comedic episode ala Unrequited. On a strictly drooling fan girl note I would love to see the curls and scruff. I do not want to see any holiday themed episodes or any personal angst. I do not want to see the chief of D's unless he is behind bars after Goren and Eames proves he's actually a secret terrorist and is promptly shipped off to Guantanamo Bay. Thats my wish list, whats yours?

I want to see a good sendoff for both Eames and Goren. The writers need only look to the last episode of MONK to see how to do it.

I want Goren to be the smartest guy in the room...again. VDO said he tried to portray Goren as a man, not as a cop. It will be interesting to see how he portrays a man back from the brink of disaster. That is if the writers let him. The Chief of D's behind bars. Great idea. Perhaps he and Frank Adair can share a cell.

Hahaha. Chief of D's as a terrorist? Nice. Yeah seeing some justice with that jerk would be great. I've been thinking about this as well. I would like to see some happiness on the show. Families for their own. I'm a sap and would like to see Goren find a woman and start a family and Eames find someone too. They could imply something and them in the final episode maybe just show a quick glimpse of Goren (and new family) having dinner with Eames and her new husband...or something like that. It could show they're still friends outside of the job. Yeah...I'm a sap. I would also like to see a cameo with Deakins and/or Logan. To kind of, tie in the old seasons. Goren as a confident, strong man again, rather than a man trying to heal would be refreshing. I'd also like to see him save someone's life - maybe by ignoring an order from the Chief of D's... I don't know there's so much I want to see that there probably isn't enough time for it all.

Oh, and yeah, I've mentioned it before, it would be nice to see Robbie back (from Bright Boy). I'd love to see him thriving and a have scene where he thanks Goren for saving his life (and how he was the only one who knew the kid was suicidal).

Oh Idget, what a great idea! I'd love to see Logan back just to catch Whoopie! I really do hate it when the baddies get away.
It's been a while since I've seen "the Pardoners Tale," but wasn't there another corrupt politician that got away from Bobby? Maybe he could get a two-fer with that guy and the chief of d's.
Like everyone else, I'm really hoping for a happy continuation for Bobby, like the way Monk was ended. If after the last episode of CI we'll still be able to imagine Bobby Goren out there doing what he loves being so good at doing, I'll be a very happy fangirl.

So much WORD to this. Let Goren be healed, or at least act a little like he used to - confident, arrogant & a little bit cocky. How I would love that. ;D

I forgot to add this to my earlier post. I brought out my LOCI cap, tee-shirt and pin from retirement after hearing the news. I'd put them away after "Loyalty."

OK, I'm in the game.
WORD on wanting Goren back strong, confident, and healed. I'll tune in to see if his mojo is restored, and if the writers give Mr. D'Onofrio good material to work with. I don't want any more angst and melodramatic hand-wringing or I'm out the door. And above all, DO NOT bring Nicole back from the dead with a gimmick or trick to provide "closure" or whatever the heck that means. Tricks and gimmickry will only get you so far, and I've had my fill of Nicole to last a lifetime. I absolutely don't want another ride on that train. Let the heartless b***h rot in hell for eternity.
WORD on bringing Mike Logan back to nail Chesley Watkins. I don't like the loose end of her escaping justice. I've also always felt she was a much more realistic and threatening nemesis for Logan than Nicole ever was for Goren. Maybe it's because Logan's encounters with CW weren't bogged down with all that pseudo sexual crap that was like an albatross around Goren's neck whenever Nicole came sniffing around. Let Logan get the goods on CW and close that chapter of Logan's life story.
The only perp I can recall getting away from Goren, if you exclude Nicole who was ultimately done in by Declan Gage, is the Malcolm McDowell character Jonas Slaughter from Proud Flesh. I never liked the episode, but would tune in if JS showed up again and Goren was able to nail him for something. Anything.

Nicole is dead. Dead like Elvis. Dead like the Democrats' backbones. Dead, dead, dead!
I've dabbled in some fanfiction along these lines: Bobby goes to work for the FBI (they do have a place for him), perhaps continuing Ross' work, perhaps investigating corruption in the NYPD. He returns a hero, confronts Moran (who's neck deep in that corruption). Bobby's offered his old job, but he knows he doesn't need it now, and he turns it down. If you're a shipper (and I lean that way a lot), he walks off into the sunset with Eames. If you're not (and I can go with that), he and Eames are last seen having a beer, maybe with Deakins and Logan.

Moonbeam, it's a good thing I wasn't eating or drinking when I read that! I'd be cleaning my monitor right now!

Elvis has left the building. More than that, he's left the building.

I forgot to add that I want an episode with Dr. Rodgers figures prominently. Perhaps she is somewhere that a murder happens or a friend of hers gets murdered. After it is solved I could see her, Goren and Eames getting drunk at some bar and reminiscing about Ross.

Oh God, Idget! I could so go for that! Leslie Hendrix is awesome! And I want to see more of her dances around the corpse with Bobby, slapping his hands away when he tries to touch! Love those territorial moments with them!
