I regret if any of Mr. Goldblum's fans felt uncomfortable here. I actually consider myself a fan of his work, and I'm very grateful that he was willing to join LOCI. He likely made it possible for Mr. D'Onofrio to do the eighth season and to return for the tenth. I'd never blame Mr. Goldblum for the chaos of the last seasons of LOCI, and I always enjoyed his performance of Zack Nichols even if the episodes and writing were suspect. I was starting to really like his character and thought the show was beginning to form. It's unfortunate that we're not going to see more of Nichols, and I write that as a great Goren fan.
It seems to me that things never got as vicious here towards Mr. Goldblum as they did in other places, but I hope none of his fans ever felt uncomfortable.

Thank you for your kind words Patcat. Believe me, as a Jeff fan, I have felt uncomfortable, but you are an excellent example of why I remain on this board and, also, I have made some very good friends. Disappointingly, some of them no longer actually post on the forum, but I do hope they will come back as they were not afraid to go out on a "limb".
It's also all kudos to the moderators.

Welcome back Patcat. We were getting worried about you. You have expressed my sentiments exactly about JG and his wonderful contributions to LOCI. He's always given his all, even when the writing was sub par. And IMO, he carried Saffron Burrows quite a few times - adding zest and humor in contrast to her deadpan acting style. I so wish that we could have 16 alternating episodes like we did in Season 8 with Jeff and Vincent taking turns. It worked so well. To bad USA had to go all cheap on the series. I wish Jeff much success. I know that he'll continue to do great work. He doesn't need LOCI, thats for sure. Between the stage and the big screen, he'll continue to have much success.

My sentiments exactly, DonnaJo. Especially about Jeff carrying SB.
I will miss Zack, but I know I won't miss Jeff because he'll continue to put out great material.

Thanks Donnajo and Trisha.
I'm still glad that Jeff left the show and, according to his agent, it's non-negotiable. I just hope that there is no u-turn. I think this is highly unlikely as there are only eight episodes for them to wrap the Goren saga.

I'm resurrecting this thread because I watched some JG episodes this week that I hadn't before. After VDO and KE left, I couldn't bring myself to watch LOCI. It had nothing to do with Jeff Goldblum or any of the other actors, in fact I like JG and MEM, (Burrows, meh. Take or leave her) but my heart was too broken, the wound too raw. dramatic deep sigh here, clutching chest However, NOW I can watch and I really enjoyed them! It actually seemed like a different show to me. I wasn't crazy about Nichols in season 8- not because of JG, but because I thought the character was too much like Goren. In season 9, he seemed to have "come into his own" and was very likeable. His subtle sense of humor and quirky facial expressions gave the character a lot of personality. Too bad he couldn't stay on and alternate episodes with Goren and Eames again. I liked MEM as captain too - she was a little ball of fire! I'm sorry for being redundant. Just wanted to share that I agree with y'all since these episodes were new to me!
