Exactly, JF. And I really do like that idea better anyway. It's more fun for the shippers and the FF writers.

They don't have to actually do it, for pete's sake. Just a ruffling of her skirt and his looking at her legs would do.

A sure sign of Goren heading in the direction of healing would be displaying a man's healthy interest in an attractive woman's legs, breasts etc. I see nothing wrong with him looking discretely, and then resuming the conversation. Shows he has blood flowing in the right areas, lol. ;D

I would think Goren has spent enough time with psychologists, psychiatrists, therapists and social workers to leave well enough alone.

LOL - but the shippers would argue that they'd rather he be checking out Alex's butt as she walks in front of him, so...

Any man with an ounce of testosterone (and we know Goren has plenty of that!) will take a good look at the women around him. Shippers wouldn't really take note of Goren checking out breasts or butts. We tune into more nuanced "tells of the heart" like long eye contact, expressions, and gestures. In the dialogue we pay attention to foreshadowing, subtext, symbolism, metaphors... reading between the lines. Saw something new (to me) on season 10: www.associatedcontent.com/article/7738952/law_and_order_criminal_intent_final.html?cat=39I particularly liked this: It looks like Goren will try to deal with his unresolved issues and Eames will have some issues from her past resurface.I hoped Eames wouldn't disappear in his shadow. Anyone familiar with this source?

I don't know the source but it just read like a rehash. ---
I suppose “shipping” is part of the fun of the show, but can you give me specific examples please as all I see are two detectives who work extremely well together professionally that spills over into their non-working hours which is not unusual?
They are just really good friends from my perspective - are they/will they/not on my watch - a case of subjective projection - mine included.

It IS all just subjective and just for fun. One of the appealing qualities of LOCI is that it is open for different interpretations. Jeffan, I will give you some examples in a pm because I'm feeling that my opinion is unwelcome here. You see what you see, I see what I see. Let's respectfully agree to disagree! We both agree we LOVE LOCI!!! peace

That's a pity you feel that way Skittles. When Jeff G joined the cast of LO:CI, I chose this board because the moderators don't allow "sacred cows" be it an actor/actress or topic. I'm still here after a thousand posts and Jeff has exited the show!
I simply asked you the question because I thought it worthy of further discussion.

A question or a disagreement isn't a sign of hostility. That blurb sounds like the press release for last season.

I'm sorry. I posted impulsively and I will edit. I felt a bit under attack because there have been several responses to some of my posts (not just on this thread) that have had a definitive and/or negative tone . I did send that PM and will post my "tells" if anyone else asks, but I don't want to get into a discussion about why everyone thinks I am wrong. I'm not saying YOU'RE wrong, I just see what I see. You say po-tay-to, I say po-tah-to.... I will tone down my shippy comments. BTW I'm not planning on leaving! peace ETA: Patcat, the date on the article was current, but I admit I'm not familiar with the source.
