Me too really enjoyed it, so glad she didn't have to let anybody go. This show, 4400 and The Dead Zone will keep me occupied till Law and Order CI comes back in the fall. Also started watching Big Love on HBO, Can't wait for Dexter to start in The fall too.
Wish they would do a commercial free episode like they did with The Closer with Goren and Eames on Law and Order. Also I wish they would consider doing the opening credits like the Closer, you get more about the story that way.

Anyone else catch L&O's own Lt. Van Buren on last night's episode as Brenda's Gynecologist?!
Fun!

Yep, I'm a fan. S. Epatha Merkerson's character seemed a little flip at times, but I think she was just trying to put Brenda at ease. "You got it, it's a hassle, and if we can't laugh we'll go crazy." Gotta say, Merkerson can do authority; I wouldn't mind having her for my work boss or my own doctor.
I love the squad. All the characters and performers are great, which has sent me into a phase where I try to track down everything I can for a couple of them. I'm getting frustrated, because Raymond Cruz (Det. Sanchez) has squat-all out there in terms of interviews and such.
The wedding. I have to admit, when Fritz proposed I thought "Noo! She's not ready for marriage!" Maybe the writers are saving it up for a big thing of cold feet a week before the ceremony or something; I could definitely see Brenda panic. Still, I think Fritz is a good match and good balance for her; even if I'm not jumping up and down over him, well, he wasn't written for me. Love the parents' reaction last week.
Much as I want the squad to be there, I have a feeling Brenda and Fritz will have the ceremony itself in Georgia for her extended family. Since there's no way an entire squad can take off for extended travel, they'll have a big celebration for friends/coworkers once they get back to LA. And I want to see it, gosh darn it, if for no other reason than to watch that group on the dance floor.
Can't wait til tonight! I gotta do something to get my character-detective fix during summer hiatus. And much as I love the Brits, I'm not a "Miss Marple"" fan so Mystery! just isn't doing it right now.

I too love " The Closer" Wouldn't have mind it CI was picked up by TNT, since its High Def and would have loved some sort of Cross Over between Goren and Brenda. Would love to see them two work an interogation together. Was Kinda hoping Brenda would end up pregnant instead of the menopause, but then I don't think she or Fritz could handle a child in their relationship, they hardly have time for each other.

I love Brenda, and can identify with her. I too had very early onset menopause. When my husband and I were watching it, I kept yelling at the TV.....it's MENOPAUSE ! ! ! ! ! He thought I should take something.....anyway I am glad she and Fritz are engaged. The next few episodes should be good. Her dad was the best. Loved him in Northern Exposure.

Did anyone watch the 2-hour Christmas show this week? And did you find it as strange as I did? It felt like a parody. :/

I've often wondered how Brenda Lee and a Goren/Eames investigation would be like. She is very used to being in charge and unlike G/E, doesn't even divulge "who done it" until she's almost finished getting her confession. I think the dynamic of a Goren/Brenda Lee tag team for a confession would either be brilliant, or a train wreck. Exciting, none the less.

They would fight for control of the room, don't think it would work, but I did do a parody on the usa boards. Using pictures, but really just silly.
