"Whoopi Moves In with 'Chris' Goldberg to guest-star on CW comedy July 17 2006 Whoopi GoldbergPASADENA, Calif. -- Oscar-winner and multiple Emmy nominee Whoopi Goldberg will travel back in time this season on "Everybody Hates Chris." Goldberg will appear in several episodes of The CW's comedy in 2006-07, the network announced Monday during its TCA press tour sessions. She'll be playing a woman who moves with her granddaughter from Queens to the Bed-Stuy apartment building where Chris (Tyler James Williams) and his family live. The granddaughter will also become a love interest for Chris, or at least the latest girl in the neighborhood to ignore him. 'Everybody Hates Chris' Showcard The role on "Chris," which is moving to Sunday nights in the fall, adds another project to Goldberg's already crowded schedule. She has a handful of films in various stages of production, including several independent projects and voice work on "Farce of the Penguins," a spoof of last year's documentary hit written and directed by Bob Saget. Goldberg won her Oscar in 1991 for "Ghost." The most recent of her six Primetime Emmy nominations came last year, for her HBO special "Whoopi: Back to Broadway." She's also won a Daytime Emmy. Her recent TV credits include the NBC sitcom "Whoopi" and a guest turn on "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" that could become a recurring role." www.zap2it.com

I'm repeating myself, but, I would still love to see BG up against "Mother Chesley".

OK, I confess. I must have caught a bad case of the gossip/speculation bug because when I first saw the thread title "Everybody Hates Chris" and the headline "Whoopi moves in with Chris" I thought it was about NOTH!
ETA: On my Cage Match card, I'd include a tag team competition--TO THE DEATH--with Goren and Logan vs. The Unmentionable One and Chesley Watkins. And just because one good nemesis deserves another, let's give equal time to Goren going toe-to-toe with CW, and Logan having his turn getting it on with The UO and terminating her.
Ladies (I'm using this word very loosely) and gentlemen--start your hormonal engines!!!

OMG, techguy you did it again! From your mouth to the writers ears--what a great idea! Deathmatch 2006! Sounds like a season closer though. The scenes in the interrogation room with Chesley and Goren would be beyond intense, she just might be the one to send Goren upstate for good. Logan and NW together? I can just see Logan gettin' busy with UO and then we hear that sly, wicked laugh of his and FADE OUT. Priceless.
