Did anyone see this movie? How does the movie compare to the book? For all of the hype, it seemed to be a movie that just came and went. It could be on DVD by October.

While the movie is good, it doesn't compare to the book. I guess it will disappoint people who have read the book first, and then go to see the movie.

Am I the only person in the known universe who didn't love this book -- and not because it was "anti-Catholic" -- but because I thought it was just kinda, meh?

No. I thought it was over hyped, badly written piffle and considering he used the idea for the story from books and stories written years ago it wasn't really as groundbreaking as everyone thinks, like you say it was meh and I''ll add a pffft  |

Locifan- No, you're not. I thought it was a pretty painfully mediocre book. Potentially fascinating subject matter but just so poorly written it wasn't worth the paper it was printed on....DNA said it perfectly, PIFFLE!  |
