It's really good. Di Caprio is getting better as he ages.

He always was good, unfortunately Titanic happened to him. Have you seen him in What's Eating Gilbert Grape? I have an Autistic brother and I can tell you his performance was spot on.

Yes, I liked him in that and the Aviator was also great. He plays forging-ahead-even-though-i'm-scared-s*&!tless really well. I feel for the guy.

If you had a choice of whether to see 'The Departed' or the original Hong Kong version titled 'Infernal Affairs', i suggest you pick the latter version.
Although 'The Departed' wasn't too bad, a lot of things slowed the movie down, especially that of the love interest and the characters were perheps more developed than necessary for this type of film. The second half onwards saw many scenes ripped off straight from 'Infernal Affairs'. I found myself bored at times and the ending was...well...lame. Nicholson was the best of the actors playing a ruthless mob boss.
'Infernal Affairs' is way superior, it moves at a quick pace and although the love interest subplot doesn't really head anywhere, it doesn't slow the film down. While the Departed spent too much time over-developing the characters, 'Infernal Affairs' rounds them off just enough for it to mean something to the film and to have the two moles struggle with their own demons fleshes out and puts a human face on them.
