I saw three movies over the holiday weekend. Nothing as noteworthy as Ben-Hur or the Sound of Music but let's face it they don't make 'em like that any more but all in all not bad. I'm not suffering from post nightly bad dreams or dry-vomiting from the memory like i was during the Hills have Eyes. (I have a weak visual system ) I saw The Holiday, The Pursuit of Happyness, Rocky Balboa all were worth the price of the ticket. Mediocre but not really really bad.

A bit OT: thinking about Billy Bob Thornton, I'm picturing him as a CI guest star. A real mean mo-fo! Better still, team him up with Harvey Keitel as mean mo-fo criminal brothers a la the Krays. Revamping the London-based Krays for NYC would be a dynamite CI episode. Think Bad Santa and Bad Lieutenant meet the MCS detectives. The only question is, which detective would be best to go after them--Goren or Logan?

I really liked the movie he wrote: "A Simple Plan" I thought that was really witty and original. But he is not all that as an actor for me. A bit too much like the hicktown he grew up in to be believable as anything else; a character actor with an obviously limited range.
