No snarks, no frills--just the facts.
Since 1971 when the service became an all-volunteer force, the US Army has used 6 different recruiting slogans. Here they are as voting options for this episode.

A+, left me stunned. Great. We'll be talking about this one for awhile.

Love the slogan idea, Techguy - perfect for this episode... ;D But I was really hoping to have "Maybe I ate some bad spinach..." as a choice!! caseyswife

A+ from me.
Personally I like the way they're showing us glimpses of Goren and Eames and even Ross, who is starting to settle in and IMO, showed a lot of compassion for Goren. No, perhaps he shouldn't have asked him to come in but Goren's not letting on how much this is bothering him except by lashing out so what's a new Captain to think?
The Goren/Eames relationship is very complex and I like seeing they are both human beings after all who do disagree and argue like everyone else does.
And of course all the guest stars were marvelous. Very emotional but also very rewarding episode. I can't wait to see how Goren and Eames work things out - or not. It's kind of early for them to be having Goren melt down completely even if there is the possibility that VDO is either leaving or the show is ending. Six more shows from them, right? I think I'm counting right.

This is another of those A-/B+ situations for me.

I selected the slogans precisely because they tell the story of Amanda Dockerty's rise, descent, and eventual death as a result of her answering the call to serve.

I said "C" because of the acting, and the fact that the little snippets on their own were nice. However, it was too much at once, and an important, gut-churning human story of pain and death got overshadowed in Dramatic Tension.

I voted B. It was a good tv drama, but not an excellent CI.

Interesting how the lines have drawn for rating TWAH--of the 49 votes cast, 24 are combined A+, A, or B and 25 votes are combined C or D.

Yes, the divisions are nearly as strong as for WANT.

Well, in the case of TWAH I think it's a matter of who likes the new character revealing episodes and those who don't.
Gotta go read the thread for Want to see what's up with that. I rather liked it myself.

There have been 37 votes cast on the "Want" episode poll. This one was much more universally liked, as 32 votes are for combined A+, A, and B whereas only 5 votes were cast for combined C, D, and F.

I should have checked my numbers. I had the impression more people disliked WANT, but perhaps that was because people felt more strongly about it.

Wonder who picked up everything from off the floor and put it back on his desk? Maybe that is why Eames is mad? lol
