Don't know which area to post this on:
www.broadcastingcable.com/article/CA483323.html?display=Breaking+News
According to this, "Mike Logan" will be making an appearance on CI in January.

I can understand not knowing where to post that link. The whole thing is pretty confusing. The tone of the website in general seems professional and legitimate, yet that story seems anything but. It cites vague, undefined "industry sources," which is suspicious enough. But it goes on to cite Page 6. Anyone who lists Page 6 as though it were a credible news source might as well put up a neon sign saying "Don't believe a word we say."
"The New York Post's Page Six column has chronicled D?'nofrio?s instability..."
Chronicled?? Anyone who dignifies Page Six with that word has a pretty warped perspective. It made me wonder if Broadcasting &Cable might be yet another part of Rupert Murdoch's evil empire. I was startled to find out it's owned by the same corporation that owns Variety. So I can't figure it out. But whatever their reason for running something like that, the story in general does not seem reliable.
At the very end they say, "An NBC spokeswoman confirms Noth's planned guest spot, but says she knows of no discussions of any cast changes on the show."
That is something I would consider reliable.
As for the rest, as disappointed as I was with NBC for overruling Balcer about the ending to Great Barrier, I'm not ready to believe that they're interfering on the level of trying to force a change in casting. I don't think they're that confused about why most people watch Criminal Intent.
As to where these two posts belong, thinking about it, it seems to me that even though Noth used to be on L&O the original, the link and posts are about his upcoming appearance on Criminal Intent. So maybe these posts belong in the section for general comments about Criminal Intent. Moderators...?? What do you think?

It's been mentioned on a couple of other boards that FOX News has picked up this story and reported it on the TV. Of course, FOX News is extremely slanted to the far right, owned by Rupert Murdoch, and would love any excuse to trash an anti-Bush actor. If CBS, ABC or, of course, NBC start running the story, then we might need to worry. But FOX News? Just consider the source.
And speaking of the source, someone on vincentdonofrio.com ran a more complete version of the story than I had seen before, which included a nasty little tag line, indicating that the writer of the story approved of the idea of replacing D?Onofrio.
I think that tag line may explain a lot. Probably someone at Broadcasting &Cable has an attitude about D'Onofrio, like our little friend Matt Roush at TV Guide (though Roush claims his attitude only applies to Goren, that he likes him in other roles). That kind of attitude would explain why someone at an otherwise normal publication would be willing to cite Page Six ? or any other source, however unreliable ? just to be able to say something negative about D'Onofrio.
Since the publication seems mostly mainstream, it might actually have some impact if people were to write/email the publisher to complain about their staff citing Page Six as though it were a reliable news source, and letting them know it affects how people see the publication as a whole. The website is:
