All in all it was a pretty good episode, I thought. It was dark, but it did have some brief spots of humor sprinkled throughout to lighten things up, and justice, as much as possible, was served in the end - Leeane (the lawyer who was responsible for it all) was arrested for Anya's murder. And the whole charde line-up: they had the lawyer on video! Wouldn't that be enough to arrest/question her/force the court to appoint Tammy a new lawyer? What video? The only video which showed Leeane's face clearly was the one of her and the bartender, and last time I checked that video didn't show any activity that was illegal on Leeane's part. The hotel surveillance tape never showed Leeane's face (which is why it took Major Case quite a bit of effort to track Leeane down), and besides, it didn't show Leeane going with Noah and Anya either - she was on the elevator with them, but she looked uncomfortable and didn't get off with them (she had cleverly went up to her room first before joining Noah and Anya).

I enjoyed this episode (inspite of falling asleep while seeing it for the first time). I do like Falacci, I think she's a strong woman, and I think Logan needs someone strong opposite him to be at his best. I do however get the feeling that she's kinda supposed to be a female Goren (notices details, pokes around crime scenes, has broad knowledge just about everything...). This is what I'm afraid of with Nichols, but I'm hoping that even if he's written like that, JG will put his own spin on that character. I also think they should've dressed her better. She looks young, but putting her in more mature clothes would've helped.
I guess the name Falacci is Italian, but it was a nice spin that she spoke Greek (but reminded me of Goren, too!). And it's even more funny, that when one thinks back to Seeds, she says something along the lines "I'm Russian, he's Greek." (indicating Logan). I thought the mug was funny, but I didn't notice a close-up on the mug. Will check again for that. And Noth's expression as she poured the coffee from the mug - priceless!
I'm not sure whether we needed the girl-on-girl scene, though mostly was surprised it was allowed to be there at all. Though really, there was so much hair, there wasn't anything to be seen. And I was even more surprised that we did get to see some of the Leanne/bartender video... I would also say that the scenes served the story, unlike in other stories.
I liked the crime story and how it evolved, and I really liked the snarks (though we did loose Falacci's two inch comment on the dub). There wasn't that much whydunit, but we know something was terribly wrong and who did it, and I liked how the case unfolds. I like how Logan knows to trust his gut and how they keep digging deeper. The crime story itself was good, I like how they seem to get very upset with conartist and frauds, and it's always fun when they con the conartist.
But did anybody else notice that they seem to be eating a lot in hat Season thus far? I think every episode (beside Amends) of that Season featured Ross and his detectives having coffee, or lunch...
