There is mention of a chef and restaurant in the episode description, so I'm expecting some connection between fish eggs/ovaries and those story elements.
But NikkiGreen might be closer to the mark with the Roe v. Wade abortion reference. I say this because I found a statement relating to "Death Roe" on another board which includes a big time spoiler.
So don't read below if you would rather not find out something really major about what happens in "Death Roe."
The spoiler statement is...
Criminal Intent brings us “Death Roe,” about a chef who sexually abuses his daughter, and kills her husband so that he can continue to do so.

Uh oh, dysfunctional family huh? After reading about the insest part of the plot, I was kinda getting worried there would be some part of this dysfunctional family that Goren would parallel to his own.
*wheew* At leased we're pretty sure that with all the problems Goren had to face in his family, at least insest wasn' one of them! *jeeze*
I forsee Goren going into "beast/prowl" mode when he starts zeroing in on the murdering-insestuous father...should make for some intense interrogation moments...
Gruesome ending for someone....hmmmm...maybe in the meat grinder?

I wonder if NBC will continue the pattern of showing Season 2 reruns on Tuesday nights? *crossing fingers*
Also, tv-now.com says a new CI episode "Ex Stasis" will be broadcast on Sunday, March 20 @ 9PM Eastern--no confirmation yet from NBC.

 Sorry Katie... it just popped in my head, from reading that it would be about a famous chef...and the fact that a CSI episode came to mind ...Chefs dying...meat grinders were involved...yea, I can safely say, gruesome is a good description. Oh.. sorry again... hope you didn't have hamburger again tonight *grin*
