DIAMOND DOGS October 2, 2005 at 9:00PM
ARE DIAMONDS A KILLER ADDICT'S BEST FRIEND? CHRIS NOTH ("LAW & ORDER') AND ANNABELLA SCIORRA ('THE SOPRANOS') JOIN CAST IN STARRING ROLES -- Detective Logan (Chris Noth, reprising his former "Law & Order" character) gets his first Major Case and partners with Detective Barek (new series star Annabella Sciorra, "The Sopranos") to probe a series of murderous Mom-and-Pop jewelry heists. However, as Logan zeroes in on a drug-addicted young loser Johnny as his suspect (guest star Peter Scanavino), his instinctive methods cause concern among his fellow law enforcement officers. When the detectives arrest a twitchy female accomplice, they pick up the scent of an older woman who not only is a career criminal, but could be the driving psychological force behind the crimes. Jamey Sheridan and Courtney B. Vance also star.

According to nbcumv:
PRISONER October 9, 2005 at 9:00PM
WHY WAS A KIDNAPPED WIFE LIVING HAPPILY EVER AFTER WITH ANOTHER MAN FOR 10 YEARS? -- In a story ripped from the headlines, a prison warden Bill (guest star Corbin Bernsen) claims he was brutalized and forced to pay a $50,000 ransom for his long-kidnapped wife, but Detectives Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) and Eames (Kathryn Erbe) are puzzled when they discover that the missing woman has been happily cohabitating with an escaped prisoner for 10 years. Amid a backwash of lingering secrets and lies, the investigators re-visit the warden's past and recall a famous axiom - follow the money. Jamey Sheridan and Courtney B. Vance also star.
UNCHAINED October 16, 2005 at 9:00PM
DETECTIVES LOGAN AND BAREK INTERCEDE IN MOB WAR IN SEARCH OF DIRTY POLICE; DAVID KEITH GUEST-STARS -- After the son of a police officer is mistakenly murdered, investigating Detectives Logan (Chris Noth) and Barek (Annabella Sciorra) step into the middle of a brutal mob war that also has ensnared dirty cops who sold out to help the rival crime families. But when Captain Deakins (Jamey Sheridan) informs Logan that he wants both the tainted officers and a mob underboss, Logan takes aim at one decorated ex-officer (guest star David Keith, "An Officer and a Gentleman") -- and finds himself the public target of the man's lawyer who claims the detective has a little "history" of his own.

No explanation given, but NBC has since substituted a rerun of "Diamond Dogs" instead of "Grow" for Friday 10/7 at 10PM ET.

I've seen a number of promos for "Diamond Dogs" last night, so I guess no "Grow" on Friday night. At least you who didn't tape "Grow" the first time around (and you know who you are ), still have the opportunity to do so Saturday night on USA.

A-HA! First sighting of a Sunday night rerun comes early, on October 30. I was sort of hoping for a Halloween-based new episode.

I was sort of hoping for a Halloween-based new episode. What, take 2 of the yuck-tastic "In the Dark"? Part of me cringes at the thought of repeating something that pooped out so badly last time, but maybe the writers would've learned their lesson. Oh well, better luck next year Techguy! --Catbird
