Thanks to the generosity of someone on this board, I have finally seen "Exiled". And for the third time, it's hit me. For a character who's supposedly to be such a tomcat, this man does NOT like to kiss! Is it a religious thing? Is he afraid of catching something?
Again, thanks to the generosity of that certain someone, I saw "Stress Position" recently too. And Logan has a girlfriend in that one and guess what? We get to see him hug her! Not kiss, just hug.
In "Exiled" he gets close to the victim's sister, and he plans a romantic evening on the Staten Island Ferry (obviously Lennie didn't get far with teaching Logan how to class up his act) and he looks into her eyes and he can't help himself. He *hugs* her!
And OT, one of the few Sex in the City eps I ever watched was the finale where Big gets to, you guessed it!, *hug* Carrie. I think there was a brief kiss in there also, but it was only brief. Has anyone considered Chris Noth is gay? Surely not!
This one's for you Mikeyrocks! Tell us why Logan likes to hug, not kiss. :-)

Penn you need to watch Season 3 or Sex and the City - especially the episode title All or Nothing - Smoking hot love scene btn Carrie and Big.
'All or Nothing', huh? LOL I know what I'm watching tonight when I get home... Hey, is that the ep where Carrie is hooked up with Aiden, but starts having flashbacks all over the place to her 'indiscretion' with Big?
As for the big finale in Sex and the City, he planted a nice big one on her when they were out of the hotel. But I see what you mean about the hugging...
Goren: She was still making all her notes in Russian. Eames: If you tell me you read Russian as well... Oh, brother...

I'm still on the kissing and hugs trail...
This has become an obsession with me. Don't ask me why, but I think it started with Logan's hug on the ferry in "Exiled" that put me on the trail...
It's become my purpose in life to analyse Chris Noth's kissing prowess now, which at this moment stands barely at a '2' out of ten. It was only a '1' until I saw "The Judge" and during his kiss with Miss Davidovich I thought he managed himself okay.
My latest discovery for Worst Kiss of the Year was Season One, Sex and the City in "Monogamists". Big and Carrie do a Hollywood Movie 'eat 'em alive' kiss in the middle of a Manhattan sidewalk and it's like watching jelly melt under pressure. Sloppy and totally missing the spot. Ugh. Zero out of 10. I caught the kiss in Season Six's "Paris, Part Two" and he gets a '2' for that one because he again spent too much time hugging.
In 'Bad Apple', I still only give him a '1'. Even though I enjoyed his interaction with his leading lady in that, he still had no idea how to truly kiss her.
So, that's a zero and 2 in SatC; a 1 in Bad Apple and Exiled; and a 2 in The Judge. This man is not performing well. I'm waiting for a friend's shipment of VDO movies to rate Goren's performance. Hee!
Don't flame me! This is all harmless fun while I while away six weeks of school holidays. Poor guys. You can feel sorry for them though.
And I'm not denigrating Chris Noth in any way. Since seeing him in 'To The Bone' and 'Maltese Cross' he has shown himself to be a heavy-weight actor in his own right, so I'm happy with his performance there.
I've never seen Sex and the City. But since finding out that Chris Noth is on it and reading your comments guys, I'm starting to get this idea of getting the dvd's. LOL.
I had never realised he'd be a hugger. Awww. But at least he's scores gone up, Penn. 5? I wonder if it goes any higher.
"You know, I used to think it was awful that life was so unfair. Then I thought, wouldn't it be much worse if life were fair, and the terrible things that happen to us come because we actually deserve them? So, now I take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe." Marcus, Babylon 5

I know Sirenna, 5 out of 10 is NOT good. I'm not hopeful of this man's ability to light my fire in a hot romantic movie, so I'm just content with his entertaining me as Mike Logan in plenty more CI episodes to come. And the last time he hugged, he got busted! In “Stress Position”, his girlfriend spotted the opened drawer over his shoulder! Doh! How set-up was that! Still, it didn’t end up on the cutting room floor, so the Director must have thought, “Dash it, it’s only a Logan scene. Leave the crap in.” LOL!
I'm looking forward to seeing VDO in action, Madger – acting, not necessarily kissing! (The hugging bit is only a silly obsession that occurred to me when I saw Logan on the ferry in “Exiled” after just seeing Big hug Carrie in Paris Part ii.) I’m already impressed with VDO’s ability as an actor, but I just need to see him in more genres. I can only picture him as Bobby Goren at the moment. Not good to stereotype.
Wendy, even if his score doesn’t go higher than ‘5’, you’ll get a lot of Logan moments in “Exiled”. For a womanizer he really had NO idea how to handle the victim’s sister if he was seriously interested in romancing her (and he *did* seem to genuinely like her) so I figured it was just bad writing at play again, or the Director’s disinterest in polishing that aspect of the movie.
Thanks for your thumbs-up, Janet… I’ve decided to write a thesis on Logan and his hugs. (TIC) My eyes are starting to cross sitting through all these Sex and the City eps, but we do what we do in the name of research on our chosen thesis. LOL! I never realized Big featured so ‘big’ in the series. I thought he was merely a hit and miss character on it, but he has more substance to him than one of the leading ladies who shall remain nameless.
