Thanks NikkiGreen, What a creepy inkspot, I see a beaver on a man's chest, who's lower body is that of a bubblebee, but within this creature I also see a cat's face, a butterfly, with OHhhhh Nooooo Mr Bills crying face in his body. and below him I see Fred and Barney's buddy the Great Gazoo. well that's my first reaction....but the more I look at that alien with a smile on his face....I see the creepy creature that lived in the subways of New York from the movie, "Mimic" sneaking his way through the woods of America, hopefully just looking for justice. What an awesome piece of art! Funny, isnt it....The American Indian's scarecrow, "Wasi'chu" has more of a meaning then the one we put in the fields to scare away the birds. Thanks again NikiiGreen....its greatly appreciated, I am now really looking forward to this episode

From www.aaanativearts.com/article1094.htmlThe Lakota also used the metaphor to describe the newcomers. It was Wasi'chu, which means "takes the fat," or "greedy person." Within the modern Indian movement, Wasi'chu has come to mean those corporations and individuals, with their governmental accomplices, which continue to covet Indian lives, land, and resources for private profit.

I don't know if anyone else is affected this way, but the Wasi'chu figure in the photo seems very Blair Witch-like to me.

I think it means tricky, greedy person.
Here's a story I found
Native American Legends Coyote And Wasichu A Sioux Legend
There was a white man who was such a sharp trader that nobody ever got the better of him. Or so people said, until one day a man told the wasichu: "There's somebody who can out-cheat you anytime, anywhere."
"That's not possible," said the wasichu. "I've had a trading post for many years, and I've cheated the Indians around here."
"Even so, Coyote can beat you in any deal"
"Let's see whether he can. Where is Coyote?"
"Over there, that tricky-looking guy."
"Okay, all right, I'll try him."
The wasichu trader went over to Coyote. "Hey lets see you outsmart me."
"I'm sorry," said Coyote, "I'd like to help you out, but I can't do it without my cheating medicine."
"Cheating medicine, hah! Go get it."
"I live miles from here and I'm on foot. But if you'd lend me your fast horse?"
"Well alright, you can borrow it. Go on home and get your cheating medicine!"
"Well, friend, I'm a poor rider. Your horse is afraid of me, and I'm afraid of him. Lend me your clothes; then your horse will think that I am you."
"Well, alright. Here are my clothes; now you can ride him. Go get that medicine. I'm sure I can beat it!"
So Coyote rode off with the wasichu's fast horse and his fine clothes, while the wasichu stood there bare-assed.
Aho!

I don't know if anyone else is affected this way, but the Wasi'chu figure in the photo seems very Blair Witch-like to me. and don't forget M. Night Shyamalan's "The Village"

Don Cheadle, on Oprah, exlained that the term, "Indian-Giver" actually refers to the white men because they took back so much.

Lilee, years ago on the Oprah show, Oprah told the audience that she used to say "Honest Injun" alot until a friend told her that it was a very derogatory expression, and that it would be equal to the "N" word with blacks. I can't find anything backing her statement, but I just looked it up and found: www.phrases.org.uk/bulletin_board/10/messages/149.html I have a hunch, not empirically supported, that the phrase is based on an idea that American Indians were extremely truthful whereas white people were prone to lying (cf. "White man speak with forked tongue"). also on the same show, Oprah discussed the word "squaw" I found this artcile on "squaw" which talks about the Oprah show www.tomjonas.com/squawpeak/changingperception.htminteresting that they mention in this article the "wasichu." which they say is "a derogatory Lakota Sioux name for the white man".....which means to me the same thing as the "N" word, white trash, potato picker... etc.....which also says to me....that they are pissed off at one person and taking it out on their whole race

WRONGFUL LIFE March 29, 2006 at 9:00PM
YOUNG MAN IS MURDERED WHILE STEALING KEY FILE IN DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILY'S LAWSUIT -- A crucial file in an ugly $20-million lawsuit may be the catalyst behind the murder of a daring young man who was killed while trying to steal evidence for a "wrongful life" court case -- all of which has Detectives Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) and Eames (Kathryn Erbe) sorting through a dysfunctional family looking for likely suspects who might want the documents. While the son is a prime suspect, the key clues could lie with his bitter mother Victoria (guest star Talia Balsam) who is suing a doctor for not revealing years earlier that her unborn daughter had a debilitating orthopedic problem -- a fact which could have prompted her to abort the baby. Jamey Sheridan and Courtney B. Vance also star.

Yes, this looks like it will have it all, intersting characters, meaty subject matter and a lot twisted twists.
I'll be on vaction when this one starts (Yeah!) I'll definately scope out someone's satelite tv somewhere!
