How can these brand new episodes be available for viewing a day BEFORE NBC prime time? Why would NBC permit such a thing? It doesn't make financial sense.

I'm sure that the CTV must have paid a nice chunk of change to NBC for the broadcast rights.
Not all of the US shows are aired in sync with the US airings. CTV aired CI on Sundays at 9:00 until they acquired DH. Then CI moved up two hours and it aired on Sundays at 7:00. "Medium" is aired two hours earlier. "Criminal Minds" airs on an earlier day than CBS. Global TV airs "24" at a different hour than FOX. Etcetra, etcetra, etcetra....

The digital listings were reversed for the 7:00 and 10:00 slots. Criminal Minds at 7:00 and CI at 10:00. Sorry Mikeyrocks, but another 1 hour and 50 minutes still to go.

Hmm...I seemed to have suggested the Russian spy poisoning as a potential storyline on another board. I forgot about the Inert Dwarf epi, which kind of sounds like this one as well. LOL

Sorry I didn't know where to post this, Mods please move as you see fit.
I just clicked on the NBC Hard Evidence thingy, and the first thin they tell me is:
George Pagolis:
* Competing duelist dressed as Raymond Burr, who finds the victim's relationship with his wife unsettling. * Husband of Maureen with a taste for French Food, Nordic Women, German Cars, and American Crime. * He was originally scheduled to be Alexander Hamilton. Why the switch before the duel? Maybe he was the intended victim? Or, maybe a duel to the death was the only way to dissolve the victim's relationship with his wife?[/i]
Ha! how did Raymond Burr dress? The wheel chair from "Ironside"? So far this is gearing up to some episode, what with the famous duel being during the Civil War and all

There was a bit of confusion on the air times. Seconds before the episode started at 10:00, the announcer was saying that a brand new CM episode was about to start. As the end credits for CI were rolling ~11:00, the same announcer was stating that a brand new episode of CM was about to start. I'm glad CM came at 7:00. Needed to clean my brain after that and I wasn't even giving it my undivided attention! I sure was glad about DejaVu's 24-hour M*A*S*H marathon. ETA: Don't forget the new episode tonight. CTV showed at least three previews for it during its airing of Mothership on Friday, plus countless times last night from 7:00 - 11:00. I notice the part where Ross is giving Eames an attitude isn't on any of NBC's promos.

Competing duelist dressed as Raymond Burr, who finds the victim's relationship with his wife unsettling. I seriously believe that Warren Leight or somebody's 14 year old son is in charge of the NBC websites.

From: Chicago Actor Auditions-N.Y. Nick Flynn 30s-40s, Male, Great Looking, Lawyer type. PeachyBC I hope great looking lawyer type means great looking and not the George Hamilton suave and slightly greasy type we usually see. Really, with the obvious exception of Vincent, I've never really seen another actor I would call "great-looking" on this show.

I'm sure that the CTV must have paid a nice chunk of change to NBC for the broadcast rights. Dick Wolf also references NBC's financial status in the article about Jeff Zucker taking over as CEO:[Dick Wolf] said misperceptions of NBC had been rife in recent years. “You would think from reading some accounts that this was a company literally going down the tubes,” Mr. Wolf said. “For a company going out of business, it seems to me NBC is generating a lot of cash.” If the network is so well off and taking in mega bucks, then I don't think Courtney Vance's departure had much to do with finances. And I also don't think CI's fate will have anything to do with how expensive it is to make. I think it will come down to whether the writers have anything new to say about Goren when Season 6 is complete, and whether Vincent D'Onofrio wants to have a part in any future CI.

I would really have to disagree on that one - I think many people would also consider Chris Noth a Great Looking guy!! Or at least he is IMO!!
