Forget white whales and the Titanic LOL
If Endgame is going down the road I think it is, I am seeing sharks. Who better to cast than the most famous shark hunter in film history -- Roy Scheider. It gives a whole new slant on, and meaning to, "jumping the shark."
Take care of yourselves, this has been a horrible week. Outsider

If I hear either the "Jaws" theme or "Nearer My God To Thee" played in the opening teaser of "Endgame," then either an iceberg, white whale, or jumping sharks are ahead. I wonder if Captain Ahab/Leight will go to the bridge to await his fate, take to the water skis, or end up lashed to his own white whale?

I've been lurking here for about 5 months and have finally gotten up the courage to register and post. I have to fret somewhere (no one in my offline life shares or understands my obsession with CI/Goren) or my head just may explode lol. All the mystery and uncertainty is almost driving me to drink, I swear A secret with momma Goren. Whatever it is, the only thing I'm sure is that Vincent and Rita will give wonderful performances. I don't have as much of an issue with the 'soapy/personal' aspect that others do. I enjoy watching Vincent do his thing and do it it in a way that avoids cheesy-ness - if anyone can pull it off, I believe he can. Will we get another season? With Goren MIA for the last episode of this one, we d*mn well better. Goren and the whole rest of the CI world being left in limbo forever is just not acceptable. The partnering of Eames/Logan also makes me very nervous. Is it a testing of the waters? A season 7 sans Goren? Has NBC decided to save money and bring CI back by letting Vincent go? Perhaps his contract is over and they (Wolf/NBC) have been trying to keep it under wraps til the last possible moment (hence, the mysterious Australia article about Vincent exiting, followed by the carefully worded rebuttal that only sort of refuted that news)? I only know that I need some concrete answers about the future of CI and its cast as soon as possible, if only for the sake of my nerves and sanity lol Apologies for the melodramatic first post, but I feel a little better getting it all off my chest... I think

Actually Eames partners mostly with Wheeler in the season finale.

Welcome, addicted! I also lurked for many months before posting, so I understand where you are coming from. It's comforting to have a place to vent frustration, and this certainly is a frustrating time for CI fans. I agree that Endgame will contain stellar performances. I am to excited to see how Roy Scheider portrays this serial killer with a secret. It's interesting that this man believes he can get assistance from Goren to get him off death row. Why him? That's the real question. Not only will we be exploring Vincent's personal dilemma about his Mom's death & her possibly being a crime victim, but perhaps a moral dilemma. If the plot contains the very "SVU" plotline of questionable paternity, does Goren try to save his real father or allow justice to prevail? Will there be a DNA test? What will it contain? I don't think that having Eames & Logan together for part of Renewal means much in the way of Vincent's return. That pairing would never work long term, they are too much alike. Everyone involved in the show knows that (don't they?)

That's right Techguy, somehow Nicole is supposed to be involved. Good to know that it's in a "Slither" type of appearance, no Olivia in the credits. How do we know this? Did I miss something? I remember that whoopi goldberg was suppose to come back but I don't remember it mentioning Nicole coming back.

I feel trepidation. But I felt that with both MASQUERADE and BROTHER'S KEEPER, and both came out well. But I've been accused of hopeless optimism.

Ma Goren having an affair; that would makes sense! Pa Goren had abandoned ship and Ma probably needed the TLC.
Goren having a serial killer as a father....THAT would explain a lot of things.

Oh NO! Please, please do not make Goren the son of a serial killer!!!! Leave the character with just a smidgen of his former dignity, please! I'm down on my knees here, Mr. Leight! Don't go down that hackneyed, simplistic, idiotic road. Whoever said they're sensing sharks in the water is right. If Goren ends up being the biological offspring of a serial killer. Well, the shark, she has been jumped. But maybe it won't be so. After all, if the death row guy keeps a scrapbook of all his victims, Ma Goren shouldn't be in it, since she's not dead. Yet. I'd just hate to have the possible last Goren episode be one where his paternity is brought into question, even if the bio daddy wasn't a serial killer. It's all just so SVU.

What if Momma Goren isn't Bobby's biological mother?

Everyone involved in the show knows that (don't they?) My God yes! Eames is a female Logan. ;D But I would like to see them work together. Just temporarily, though! It would be incredibly interesting for me. As for the topic of Goren's biological father; I don't believe he is. I think the producers wouldn't make his father totally different looking then Goren. I mean, they did pretty well on the brother character IMO. He stated in Suite Sorrow he was worried about becoming his imperfect father (or parents??). Well, actually he told the girl that she wasn't the only one afraid of becoming like her father. Something like that, anyway, he's probably been worried about becoming his drunk father all his life and a serial killer father isn't exactly a step up...

The NBC LOCI webpage has some clips from ROCKETMAN that suggest the episode may be better than we might expect. At the very least, it looks like they might have gone to Florida for some location shots, unless there's some NASA facility near New York.
