Hey, for those of you who would like to see Courteney B. Vance's long-ago guest spot on the original L&O, set your timers! TNT tomorrow at 1:00 is showing "Rage", from the 5th season, in which Vance plays a stockbroker who pleads insanity defense due to "black rage". A very interesting episode--and let me tell you, Vance plays a gooood sleazebag!
Enjoy! Catbird

OK, two weeks later...this was a good episode, I advise those who can to watch it. A sample line, delivered in Vance's smooth, calm voice.
DET. LOGAN: You're no better than some punk who holds up a 7-11 and then blows away the cashier just to cover his tracks. BUD GREER (VANCE, in a so-disgusted/contemptuous-he's-amused tone): I graduated magna cum laude from Harvard, summa from Stanford business. I earned 15 million dollars last year, and I have 17 traders working for me. Now, not only am I better than your--punk, but I am also a hell of a lot better than you, Detective Logan.

Bravo Canada showed that episode back in February. You're right...it was a great episode. And Bud Greer is quite a memorable character.
Do you recall CBV's first appearance on L&O about 4 years before that, in the first season episode "By Hooker, By Crook"? You have to look quite carefully...he plays an aid to the Mayor.
