They mentioned that on the NBC website, I think. But he is kinda lean, which you would expect for someone who had to move around. We may not ever hear Jerry Orbach sing, but perhaps a scene could be written where the detectives are undercover at a club or something and he and Eames are on the dance floor? Or is that too fan-ficky? Still, there is a slight chance.

Maybe it is just the whole Irish or Celtic idea but I could see him in a Lord of the Dance production. He just seems to radiate common decency.

Yes, I would lvoe to see him dance in some way, but my hunch is he was trained for musical-theatre type hoofing. Celtic dance (I can't remember the name for the hard-shoe, Riverdance type style) requires a ton of training. If he had some tap he might could fake it, but I can't see him doing that. I haven't seen any pictures from when he was younger, but I can vaguely imagine him singing "I Can Do THat" complete with tapes (from "A Chorus Line").

That's way cool in my book. Maybe it should have been Deakins taking on Donnie in "Pas de Deux" instead of Goren, LOL! ;D FYI I placed an article in the Interviews section from the Australia Courier-Mail of 5/20/2004. D.

I got the impression Sheridan might have been in modern dance. I do know that he moved to acting after he suffered a knee injury.

Theoretically this is an acting/dancing thread but I am going to add a third question: Actor, dancer, DIRECTOR? When I was cuing up my VHS tape for recording next Sunday's episode, I took a look at the credits for "The Good Child". It mentioned: Second Assistant Director - James A. Sheridan Is that Jamey Sheridan, his father, or someone else entirely? I was under the distinct impression that members of the L&O cast could not, by contract, direct episodes. (That memory was from a transcript of one of those Museum of Television and Radio seminars.) Does anyone know the answer? If he is assistant-directing, I say, more power to him! D.
