And I think you have to admire Griffin Dunne's willingness to play a character who's so sloppily evil, and whose manhood is so blatantly challenged. Patcat You know Patcat, I have always thought the same thing. That took a lot of guts. I have a ton of respect for him.

@lom
Thanks for your answer. I can see where you're coming from.
On a sidenote, CI (and some TV in general) does broaden your knowledge. My sister frequently was in awe that I could understand parts of her medical books, which was due to me watching ER and taking both Latin and Ancient Greek in school. Even now I find myself googling stuff that's been mentioned on CI or looking it up on wikipedia (which is good to get an idea or place to start further research).

Hey Leanonme - to follow up on this:
I was just trying to decide on whether to buy Season 2 or 3 first, which are both out in the UK only (besides Region 1), but who cares if it's Region 2, I'm happy.
I couldn't find the US rating, but in the UK it's rated "15", which means 15 and up. In Germany & Austria it's rated "12+" which means twelve and older.
Amazon.us doesn't state the US rating, but maybe someone who has one of the Season 1-3 could check. I'm quite sure it is rated.

CI is rated as TV 14 in the US. I always cringe a little at the opening of Jones because it's so blatantly graphic. I remember when we all discussed the opening of Betrayed as being rather explicit, but that was tame compared to the impact of the teaser in Jones. Now, on some level, it also makes sense because it shows you just how basic and instinctual Henry is. It sets the stage for his meltdown. He's a man out of control and it becomes apparent very quickly. So I guess I am straddling the fence on this one.

I've always thought the teaser in JONES was a bit graphic, but at the same time I've always felt that in reality the young woman would've been naked.

Maybe they didn't get that far because as Angie complains: "You've hardly been here a half hour!"

And it isn't as graphic as the Logan episode with the female lawyer and her dumb friend who blackmailed men. That tape of her having sex with one of her victims was rather naughty. And Logan's comment about how a guy wouldn't stay with the missionary position was pretty funny.

But (and please forgive my faulty memory here) wasn't that Logan episode shown after the series moved to USA? My take is that basic cable is a bit more loose than network TV, but not at pay cable levels.
I confess I was surprised by what LOCI got away with on a major (well, NBC was then) network at 9 on a Sunday.
