Hi Metella, My name relates to hockey. I am a mucho fan of the N.H.L. Before I found Peter Forsberg I used to follow Dale Hunter hence the name Huntsy. I have used it since I started online. How about you? How did you pick yours?

Hey there to Huntsy, Eyespeak, Salome, TXSpitfire, and all the others. Unfortunately you'll have to wait for new eps, but I'm sure we'll get caught up on rerun chats!
So that's where the name comes from...I kinda wondered, Metella. That's cool, Huntsy. Though I haven't been much into hockey I've grown up with Braves baseball and Carolina basketball.
My friends roll their eyes at my name. "Janet" was Mr. Rochester's pet name for Jane Eyre + I've always been a cat lover + "Catherine, Called Birdy" was one of my favorite books as a child (still is, too!). What about everyone else?

Welcome rlurry Catbird, I enjoy reading about how people choose their internet handles. I have many, but none are very personal. I prefer using my own name on this board, and a few others. When I register somewhere I'd rather not have anyone call me by name, I use something very generic- often an object at hand, so that I give nothing of myself that I care to have back. Know what I mean?

Welcome to you new members who have joined so far in June ..... you have been quiet - so please post soon and often.
I know a lot of new members say they feel they have nothing to say or that they feel intimidated by such intelligent posts ..... don't forget to look at many of my posts with one or two sentances, & I often just express my feelings or impressions from something - so whether you are going to give a 1000 word essay or a 5 word communico - please join in.

For better or for worse, it seems I am the latest to join this board. For my first post, I'd like to say hello to everyone here.
I joined the Universal board a while ago, and decided to take my warped and slightly off center view of the world to another location as well. I look forward to joining in the discussion and banter as soon as I am more comfortable and get my bearings.
In the meantime, I am enjoying reading what has gone on before my arrival, so I expect it won't be long before I'll have something of substance to offer.

I say, welcome and offer all your musings, it may be of great substance for you, but others may find some gems in your thoughts.
