I'm torn between an A and a B, and in the afterglow of the show, I'll lean high. The acting, direction, and general execution of this episode was splendid. There are a few holes in the plot--some of the knowledge Declan had of Bobby's life--that keep me from wanting to freely give it an "A".

The acting in this episode was great, the directing, great. Unfortunately, the writing and story was a complete failure, imho. Leight tried to wrap up too many loose ends in his final episode -- which also left more questions than answers. Gage, Ross, Rodgers, even Nicole Wallace were all out of character.
This is the first F I have given. I hope I never have to give one again.

I'm also willing to lean high, like Patcat, and give it an A. Superb acting all around. Would have enjoyed more Nicole, less Goren histrionics.
I thought the aria was the best this half season, by far. John Glover was perfectly creepy/crazy. Will we ever find out what he said to his daughter to prompt her to bite off her own tongue? That poor girl.
And VDO was mesmerizing dealing with Gage, trying to pull the truth out of a crazy man. Although I flinched at the whole "Tell Bubby that he's the only man I've ever loved" supposedly Nicole's dying words. And Bobby looked visibly upset at that. Is VDO conveying that Bobby did love Nicole, in his way? Like she loved him, in her warped way?

I think Bobby was simply appalled that Nicole thought she loved him and that it was Gage conveying the message.

I wanted them to have that last meeting, Nicole and Bobby. Could have had less flashbacks. Would have like to have had him walk out of the interogation room, and Donny be there, some glimmer of happyness. So I had to give it a B, B+ would be more like it. My daughter quit watching half way and called Goren crazy, hubby thought VDO's acting was over the top. Maybe he could have pulled it back a little. What happened to the quiet sulker that Goren used to be. He needs to really get some therapy.

I liked it all around. Ok, holes in the story at points but I did like the story. They tied up lose ends, LOTS (got kinda crowed) but glad the Goren drama is probably over. Maybe next season it will go back to story telling of the crimes not personalities.
Gave it an A. It would have been an A+ if Bobby and Nicole had one last encounter and fought it out. I wanted Goren to win, not have that win snatched from him by Gage.

I was so worried with everything they were planning to cover in this episode that it was all going to fall flat. It didn't. Yes I agree there was some hole involved but overall they did a great job telling this story. I gave it A.

Definitely giving it an "A". Can't do the A+ only because, while I think it was as good as "Endgame", it wasn't better, and I do wish we'd been treated to one last Bobby/Nicole face-off.
Quiet sulker = churning volcano
What we've seen is the inevitable eruption when someone buries their pain and anger for too long. Having lived with a "quiet sulker" before, I am well acquainted with such explosions. Bobby needs to open up to someone, whether it's going back to Olivet or confiding in Alex. Less sulking, more talking things out, and this will lead to a more balanced emotional life for Bobby and put an end to the explosions.

I gave it an A+, but not for the reason spelled out. "Endgame" was the best finale ever- for the writing (which was better than "Frame") and the acting(which "Frame was equal to). But "Frame" was excellent...better than just an A. Loose ends tied up, Eames' unfailing loyalty played out heroically by Erbe, Ross showed his true color...yellow(Bogosian plays this character superbly), and what can I say about Vincent that already hasn't been said 1000 times? He is the best actor I have ever seen. Goren was pushed and pulled and Vincent portrayed each pain and heartache with microtells galore! He was absolutely on top of his game...bold with his anger and heartbreaking in his agony. I loved it.

I gave it a B. Probably I balance out Patcat here, because I did toss between A and B. In the end , I held it up against Endgame, which was a true A+, in my opinion, and Frame did not come close to that extraordinary episode.
I also thought VDO's acting was checkered - seemed to go from turgid/leaden to finely sensitive - but the aria was engrossing.

I was not very thrilled with a few things that went on. Example: sure, Nicole Wallace was evil, but she made the story line great. I truly was bummed to see her go. The acting was quite good as well. Cheers KE and VDO!!
