Ebay was the only place I could find these...imported from Germany. I got Pelham and GUY (which I've been looking for for 3 yrs.) for a bargain. Last year on ebay, "Guy" alone went for $247.50; last week, a copy went for $124.50. I got both Guy & Pelham for $60.00 and consider myself lucky.
It actually just arrived in my mail yesterday and I watched it twice last night. Needless to say, I had a GREAT night ;-)

Pelhma is one of my most favorite movies by Vincent D'Onofrio! He plays a part so different from any other part. In any part you always recognize something of "Bobby Goren", but not in Pelham. And I think he looked better than ever! I'm from Europe and it's even harder to find movies by D'Onofrio. I got my copy on VHS on Ebay. But we, in europe, do have a different system, Pal and region 2 for DVDs, so I have to be carefull. Up until now, all the movies I got on Ebay or other sites like that, VHS or DVD, are okay!

Phelam 1 2 3 was shown on Aussie TV (or at least Victorian TV) last Friday night. I was caught out - they originally advertised it as being the original Walter Matthau version, so I didn't bother. But I got a text message from my friend early Friday evening asking why I was bothering with band practise when there was a D'Onofrio movie on TV. I nearly hit the roof!
Thankfully my friend kindly put a tape in for me, so now I have Phelam on tape (albeit missing the first five minutes but who cares?). My VDO collection is slowly growing.... ;D

For European people it's even harder to find his movies. I can't order through amazon, because it won't work on our system. But I managed to find some European versions of his films on Ebay. Quite expensive sometimes, but oh well .. Lately I found: Good Luck, the Velocity of Gary, The Salute of the Jugger (Blood of heroes), Sherlock (case of Evil), Spanish Judges and The First turn-on. I'm still waiting for Steal this Movie and Naked Tango ..

I know what you mean. Trying to find his movies here in Australia is no easy feat. I got lucky in finding a copy of 'The Whole Wide World', and I have three on order through a local DVD shop (The Winner, Feeling Minnesota & Salute of the Jugger), but otherwise, it's whatever we can find on the internet.

I know this is a bit too late, but I was scrolling through my cable guide and this movie is showing right now on the local WB network!

I've scrolled for an answer to this question, so forgive if it's already been answered, but, what is the deal about the $5 million? I got so hung up on that during this movie, it was even brought up in the story twice about the amount being too little. I know that this is a re-make, was this a reference to the origional?

I would love to see this version of the film! Does it ever play in the USA? Netfix doesn't include it on their VDO roster.
