Kathryn Erbe has offered an item on CharityBuzz to benefit the North Shore Animal League: a personal tour of the CI set at Chelsea Piers plus lunch for two people, good for a year.
The current bid is $1,850. So why am I even mentioning it? Because some fans are so hardcore they might want to cough up that kind of dough.
Also, much of the winning bid amount will be tax-deductuble in the U.S. If you have 2008 earnings for which you haven't yet paid the feds (eg, 1099-type independent contractor payments), this is a legitimate way way to reduce your IRS payment; support a good cause; meet Kate Erbe and -- who knows -- maybe even VDO.
Bidding closes at midnight on November 14th.
