I finished this mystery, the latest by P.D. James featuring Adam Dalgliesh, last night. It's not Ms. James' best, but it's awfully good. As much as I admire and like her work, I have to confess that some of her books leave me in a mournful state. This one didn't. A lot of the characters are allowed some happiness at the end. It's not as intricately plotted as some of her past novels, but Ms. James' work has always been more about character than plot. I recommend it highly.

Another one for my list and thank you Petcat. I like the stoical Adam Dalgliesh and the way in which P.D. James unfolds her stories. Never a disappointment.

I think it's also worth noting that Ms. James is 88, and still producing terrific books.

It is worth noting that Ms James is still very prolific at 88!
