Well, that was a first. No McCoy sighting in 141/2 years.

And a lesser episode for that absence, NG. Not that much sparkled in this script from co-EP Ed Zuckerman and legal consultant/writer Matthew McGough. I can forgive Zuckerman -- he's doing double-duty as the new showrunner for CI.alt -- but the Russian mob again? Seems like the fall back idea at all of the L&O franchise shows when creative springs run dry. Here's a look at "Lucky Stiff:" www.nbc.com/Law_and_Order/video/clips/lucky-stiff/973921/Am I the only one who picked out the perp before the opening credits stopped rolling? AL

Am I the only one who picked out the perp before the opening credits stopped rolling? AL Nope. I saw it too. I think once you've been on "The Sopranos," you are type cast as the bad dude. I didn't notice McCoy's absence until they mentioned it at the end. Interesting how they had his little celebration party off screen. Are they saving money, because they had to pay Rodgers for two scenes, not the usual one. BTW, Leslie Hendricks was wonderful in both. ;D I liked how they mixed it up a little in terms of screen presence. It wasn't the usual only Lupo/Bernard/Regina until the half mark, and then all Cutter/Connie/Jack.

I saw it coming quite early on, as well. I found myself rather bored with the episode. That hasn't happened in quite a while. DJ, I especially liked the second Rodgers scene.
