Is there a theme to LOCI? Do each of the seasons have a them?
Someone somewhere had a banner ( sorry I don't remember where I saw it) that said, "CI - Where Intellect Defies Evil." I love that.
Season 1 theme- When people used to look more real. (Look at the people, all of them, and notice how much life has changed in 8 years. You can really see it in the guest stars. Not everyone had perfect teeth back then, now everyone does. That is just one example.) Although I did like it when VDO dressed much better than your average detective.
Season 2 theme- Make leanonme really happy.
Season 3 theme- Let's all hate Lynn Bishop. ( although I didn't think she was so bad, and frankly, I hated how Bobby treated her like dirt, and seemed to get a pass for it.)
Season 4 theme- Watch the Storm Coming.
Seasons 5-7- No comment.
What makes a great LOCI episode? What are the elements of a classic?
Keep me thinking. Classic elements... any episode in which I have to explain to someone why that guy is acting so weird!
Who is your favorite villain? Least favorite?
Wally, Connie are my favorites. I also liked the thief in Silver Lining. ... I just hate Terri Randolph. She is a good villain in the sense that I kept wanting someone to punch her. I generally can't stand any of the mother villans. Oh, and the Pomeranski girl from Poison!! And any villain that Bobby tells to "grow a pair," is a wimpy villain in my book. I do like seeing Bobby do it though!
Who is your favorite guest star? Least favorite?
Love Tony Goldwyn,I am really going to miss him, and Rita Moreno.
I think that a lot of the younger guests have done a good job with VDO. I am thinking of the girl from Tomorrow, Billy Lush,Lou Taylor Pucci. Oh, and Whoopi Goldberg rocked the house!
Least, who played the Pomeranski woman? Her.
What's your favorite episode? Least?
I like Silver Lining a lot. Cherry Red. So many favs... Least- Untethered is the one episode I won't suffer through ever again. Hated it.
Why do you like LOCI? How did you first come to the show?
It keeps me engaged. Most of the time.
I first came to the show when it started airing at 11:30 weeknights. I would channel surf while I was folding laundry. I think I got hooked the night I saw Robert Goren move everything around in the office in Seizure. Oh, but then I saw HHL, and when he talks to the rape victim, and she cries, I was done, everynight at 11:30 I was there until I got the eps on DVD and Itunes.
Who do you miss the most--Deakins or Carver?
I liked them both, but I miss having a DA. Carver was a good one. I was watching early episodes recently and wishing that they would have kept Bobby and Carver more at odds. I liked that early trouble between them.
What do you think has happened to: Deakins? Carver? Bishop? Logan? Fallaci?
I don't know, but I wouldn't mind seeing any of them back. Maybe not Bishop.
What will happen to Jo and Declan Gage?
Yikes, not sure I want to know.
Is Bobby visiting Declan in prison?
Probably.
Is Sebastien still out there?
I love DR's answer.
Where's Donnie?
Again, I can't improve on DR's answer, much to my dismay.
Who put the rat in Bobby's desk? Are they a danger?
I don't know. Might be interesting to have some danger around the office.
What's going to happen with Bobby and Alex? What do you WANT to happen with them?
I just miss the way they used to be. Ship, oh, I know some people really love the idea, and good for them, really. I just can't do it.
Both Alex Eames and Nicole Wallace are small blondes. Comments?
I just can't lump Eames and Nicole together in any way. Eames is way too good for that.
Alex was kidnapped by a woman named Jo and her husband's name was Joe. Comments?
I can read something into just about everything, but not this. Mistake.
What other detectives (on television, in books, wherever) do you like?
Sherlock Holmes is all I have ever really watched or read. I like to read him. Although I did meet a very nice detective the other day.
And I apologize to the Wheeler/Nichols fans out there. I don't feel familar with either to address them and their issues. But please feel free to add your own questions and comments.
I am really looking forward to Nichols.
Thanks Patcat, and everyone else!
