:)hi all just recently saw and intresting BBC series called Cranford. addpted form a series of novels by Elizabeth Gaskell. it is very intresting. and quite a witty series well worth watching. ablsoultely great cast. lots and lots of talent. it stars the likes of Judi Dench, Francesca Annis, Emma Fielding, Eileen Atkins, Imelda Staunton and lots of others. But be warned it is farely tear jerking at times partiuclary in the last few epsiodes.
regards rom.

I LOVED Cranford - I could watch Dame Judi Dench and Francesca Annis read the phone book and they'd be 10x better than most actresses on TV today. I loved how it represented the time period. I have such a weakness for 19th century BBC productions and how different life was from today. Thanks for the info that they are making a 2nd series - I will watch for it.
