It's now located in Santa Monica but still hasn't found distribution for the Will-Conroy VDO script "Mac Dog Williams," the western "in development" since 2002. (In fact, I don't know if this Ethan Hawke-starring film, directed by VDO, was ever completed. Anyone?)
It's become more difficult than ever for anyone other than A-listers to get financing for films these days. As someone once (wisely) wrote on the old NBC CI site: VDO needs to acquire a more powerful set of friends.
Little seems to get greenlighted (other than cheap, idiotic teen movies) without Angelina Jolie or Brad Pitt.
If VDO's new directorial project "Elvis and Me, Mimi," his father-daughter film, actually gets shot in Memphis and Nashville this year, I can only imagine he's had to (at least partially) fund it himself. (Another reason he needs to stick with CI -- a regular paycheck.)
Brooklyn Hazelhust's only released production to date remains the short "Five Minutes, Mr. Welles."
AL
Edit: In 2007 Brooklyn Hazelhurst produced a TV pilot directed by indie filmmaker Anna Marie Vag called "Ipso Facto."
