This article is circulating about: Scoop: ‘Mad’ Man Suspected of ‘Criminal Intent’ by Matt Webb Mitovich Nov 11th, 2009 | 2:36 PM
If Michael Gladis is at all anxious about the uncertain future of his ‘Mad Men‘ copywriter, Paul Kinsey, he may have found the perfect outlet for his frustrations – the role of a serial killer.
Gladis will guest star on USA Network’s ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent‘ shortly after Season 9 premieres, I have learned. In his episode, “Love Sick,” Gladis will play Randall Haig, a suspect in a series of slayings.
Gladis is the second ‘Mad’ man to visit the ‘Law & Order’-verse. Rich Sommer, aka Harry Crane, turned up on the mothership’s November 6 episode, playing the boss of a delinquent driver.
Unlike Gladis, Sommer’s ‘Mad Men’ future seems safe. In the Season 3 finale Harry was named Head of Media at the newly created Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce agency, while Paul was among the left-behinders who arrived at work only to discover that Don, Pete, Roger and Lane had packed up their offices.
‘Law & Order: CI’ returns with new episodes – and a largely overhauled cast – in spring 2010.ow.ly/BDp1I left a comment that Gladis will actually be the third member of Mad Men to guest on a Law & Order show. Last season, the beautiful January Jones played a sweet and innocent witness who was actually a con lady/killer on a mothership episode. She was great. ;D

Because it's 2009. IMO when a crime drama does time travel, it's definitely jumped the shark, don't you think?

I am so oblivious -- thanks for pointing out the obvious. I assume she meant to say March 2, 2010 and just read it that way. I'm glad I'm not a proofreader!

IMO when a crime drama does time travel, it's definitely jumped the shark, don't you think? LOL! Isn't that what USA attempted last year when they aired the G/E episodes out of shooting order? The disappearing and re-appearing Goren beard within the same episode has to be definitive and conclusive evidence of time travel. ;D

Considering how cagey respected physicists are on the issue of time travel, I suggest you might get more guidance from Deepak Chopra or Gene Roddenberry.

Deepak Chopra is also an option. However, Gene Roddenberry's ashes were blasted into space after his death. I don't think I'll get any insights from him--unless I engage the services of a medium for a seance.

Why not throw Ace Frehley in the mix?

Welcome, jaquimichel! No news yet on backstories or character names for the new cast (Saffron Burrows, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio). Keep checking here - it has to be soon. March will be here before you know it. I'm guessing there will be promos and info on the LOCI USA page sometime in February, which is only a few weeks away.
