I read the NPR article; it was very good and informative. I saw where Mr. Mackie also had a role in 8 Mile with Eminem and Kim Basinger. The movie was on last night and I tried to watch it to catch Mackie's part. The film got good reviews, 3 stars, I think. However, it was a bit too much for me--the crack addict mother part that Basinger played--was a distraction and I turned away before I saw Mackie.

I liked Mackie in PRAVDA and look forward to seeing it again. It was a dynamic episode, quite like the real life story of Jayson Blair. Perhaps we can answer some of the questions you posed. Your link to the web page worked, mine did not
