I'd like to see a thread dedicated to who did what for each episode. Just like a list with ep. name, followed by writers, etc. Anyone have any ideas how to set this up? I'll be re-watching some eps. on tape and will note the details but if someone else wants to and has the resources to do it, please jump in. I'm assuming, here, that others are interested in compare/contrast like this between episodes.

I think it was trying to be done in the episode summaries - but not too many members seemed to want to hit rewind to get that info .... I went out of my "only watch it once" way to get the info for one .... was not wanting to hog the whole thing, but I'll do some more in a few weeks or so ........

Yes, I noticed you did it for Cherry Red in the episode description. Maybe between all of those interested we can get a simple but comprehensive list. I've been watching some of season one so I'll write down info from those since the dvd is much easier to rewind to the beginning.

Did you start this because you noticed my snarky little line at the bottom of the thread title page? If you didn't see it, hit the back button and mouse down the threads to the bottom, just a little poke at the lack of interest here. I'm really happy to see such an interest now. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

I don't mind volunteering, but I have to start slow due to workload.
Where are we starting? Third season or First?
Where do you want the information to be placed? In the thread, or submitted to the mods?

Everybody is off paying attention to that tall handsome Italian guy who plays the lead detective, you know, what's-his-face, that guy who played that bug in Men in Black, remember him?, I keep forgetting his name........ "It was something about the way he walks......" MM, I can't find the comment you're asking about!! AAARGH! Anyway, I'd just like to take note and compare them from episode to episode, see how different directors, etc. do things. I'd love to start with Season One and see if, between us, we can chart them all. Just can't figure how to ultimately get them in order. Is that something the moderators can play with if we just post what we have, getting them in order??? I'm glad there's an interest, too. We had gotten on the topic on the other board thanks to Observer and I'd like to continue the discussions. That's the other thing I can't quite figure how to do, except list them here and discuss on the episode threads. So I can do some of Season One, but mom has three of my discs so I can't do them all. I think if the moderator can somehow put them in order, we can all just post what we find. Make sense??

Lilee, .... you know how when you mouse over a link, the name of the site shows up at the bottom of your browser? Well, if you mouse down the list of threads to the bottom of the page, a line appears at the bottom of your browser. It may only work on some browsers thought. I dunno. Let us know if you still don't see it. For the written/directed by threads, I think we should start threads for each crew member and post the episodes they wrote, co-wrote, or directed on their thread, as well as any interviews and such. Discussion of themes and such can go on in the CI discussion threads. But you know I'm anal about order. Other ideas and suggestions are very welcome

I'll start up a word doc and then I can give it to the mods if they want to post anything on the main site. D.

If you click on the episode title, you can get a good start. The writer and the director are referenced for each episode, after the guest stars and a brief description of said episode. www.epguides.com/lawandordercriminalintent/

Well, I just nodded off while walking the dog, so that hopefully helps explain why I can't understand, STILL!
I do think nikki's idea of listing by crew member makes sense unless there are too many diferent sets of teams. IOW: Rene Balcer and Jim Sterling on one episode, Stephanie Segunpta (Sp?) and Sterling for another, Balcer and S.S. on a third. Does that make sense? But I think it's actually pretty consistant.
I am still experiencing tech. difficulties so I hope whoever feels ready to begin first will jump right in. I think we're in for some pretty interesting and enlightening conversation once we get it going!

Sorry, Lilee. Maybe it depend on the browser. When I mouse down the threads to the bottom, I see a line at the bottom left of my browser window that reads, "The crew threads, they collect a lot of dust." Good idea about team work threads

Probably just my ignorance. So thanx for telling me what it said!!
I'm not at home this week and left my dvd's there, so I haven't started this new thread yet. I'll try to get going on that soon, but please, anyone, start it whenever we get info. I'm loving all the articles about crew that folks are digging up and I think we could have some fun discussions about this topic!

I don't know if you want this in the articles and interviews section or here, since it deals with the crew. No wonder they are so talented! Domenica From Playbill: www.playbill.com/news/article/print/82541.html*************************************** Playwrights People Staff at "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" By Robert Simonson November 3, 2003 "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" may have the most playwright-heavy writing staff of any show in television.Currently writing episodes for the two-year-old spin-off of the long running crime-to-court-room drama are Tony-winning Side Man scribe Warren Leight; Stop Kiss author Diana Son; Omnium Gatherum co-writer Theresa Rebeck; Mystery of Attraction dramatist Marlane Mayer; and Liz Benjamin, who once ran the play-reading series at Off-Broadway's Naked Angels. Leight most recently penned an episode that drew from the Jayson Blair scandal that recently rocked The New York Times. The show—the third series born of the "Law & Order" television empire—stars as its detectives a couple thespians often seen on the stage: Kathryn Erbe, a Tony nominee for The Speed of Darkness and a Steppenwolf Theatre Company ensemble member; and Vincent D'Onofrio, see Off-Broadway in Tooth of Crime. Making up the supporting cast are Jamey Seridan (Julius Ceasar) and Courtney B. Vance (Six Degrees of Separation) ****************************************
