^^^ Fair enough Moonbeam. But please understand, I am as passionate about my hockey as some fans are about G/E CI.

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode! I liked the fact that the producer was using the "dramaturg" - and the fact that the little guy just kept insisting, with all of the ego of someone who knows they are not "it" and never will be - that he be addressed correctly as a "dramaturg". Cynthia Nixon was fabulous - and I expected no less from her. She was shrill and pushy and hit all the right notes, IMO. Having never seen All About Eve, the whole parallel thing had no impact on me whatsoever. And Leonore - again - yes to everything you said! I do have to comment on the trend lately of bemoaning the fact that the killer is obvious early on - isn't that what CI is about to begin with? It's not about hiding the "who" it's about telling us the "why". And I liked that the "why" in this case was the producer's greed and avarice, plus his arrogant dedication to his non-existent reputation in his father's shadow. It would have been so easy to make it the usual fare about an under-study who wanted to be a star - or a lover's quarrel gone wrong. The motive here was down and dirty greed and the players were straight out of a business (entertainment) that caters to such, while pretending to care about creativity and talent. Loved Bobby playing with the labyrinth - and the snarks coming from him as well as Alex. Then he takes the cup of water away - it reminded me a little of the way he grabbed the cereal bowl from Connie Moran in S1's "Phantom", to make her focus on his questions. The psyche session was great - and I need to chew on it some more. It is so exactly how I've seen him all these years - and written him as well - that underlying anger that covers the fear of digging too deep. I could spend hours dissecting those sessions! A lot of "meat" there - and we've only scratched the surface. I wish we could get more! All in all, I thought this was well done, writing and performances. I'm looking forward to next week - and then again not. I'd love to hold back time for a bit...gonna miss Bobby. Again! I'll still hope for more...but if we don't get it, it's been a great run! The sendoff that Goren and Eames deserved. A victory lap indeed!

I actually really liked this episode. I loved Cynthia Nixon, loved all the parts with Goren, Eames. I liked seeing that Goren does have friends outside work and I loved his little comments during the interrogation of the musician.
I suspected the Dramaturg (aka 'Assistant') from the start but I like how they went round and round (like the labyrinth) to discover the killer.
The shrink session...I dunno, watching that part made me a little uncomfortable. I liked how she approached his anger but I think they shouldn't dwell too much on the little misunderstanding they had. I don't think it's relevant at this point but that's just my humble opinion.
