I'm sorry, but I gave it a D. They knew fans would be watching the series finale, and that's the best they could do? Shame on them. And really, did we have to listen to Goren answer the insane question one more time? Tovah Feldshuh? That was a waste of her talent/time. At the beginning of this season, we were told the psych sessions would lead to revelations and surprises about Detective Goren...really? Show of hands of how many of us were surprised by tonight's session. The psych session was the highlight of tonight's show so maybe I'll reconsider and give this episode a C.
Can I re-vote? Really, after considerable thought, and a re-watch, it wasn't as bad as I thought. Perhaps my judgment was off due to the fact I'd spent considerable time Sunday afternoon at the local winery. Moonbeam broke her #1 rule: Don't drink and post. Rule #2: Don't consume a vast quantity of wine, watch LOCI and try to keep up. For what it's worth, no I wasn't driving. I'm still not crazy about the episode, but I'll bump my vote to a solid B. The saving grace for me was the psych session and the very nice ending.
I HAD to give the series finale an A+. But it's really a grade for the last 10 years of LOCI as a whole.
I do agree with Moonbeam in that there were no revelations into Goren's psyche or past that weren't already known by the fans. The shrink sessions were well-written, but predicable. Sort of a disappointment.
Gave it an A. Nice story but aria didn't convince me. Must say I was dissapointed because it felt forced in obvious it was written for us fans and not for Goren ( I kinda feel he would have done it differently, in the same tone but still different ). Did like '' fluff'' comment :-)) .
