I actually saw this film when it opened. A funny, sweet film that doesn't have a mean bone in its body, Look, if you like the Muppets, you'll like this film, but it's also a great way to introduce someone, like kids, to these great characters. I found it very touching to see the little tributes to Jim Henson throughout the movie.
We took the kids to see it while they were on break. You were right about it being a great way to introduce the Muppets. About halfway thru the movie my 11 yr. old daughter exclaimed "Kermit is a FROG???" I couldn't believe she didn't know.....
