Hollywood actor Chris Noth has cancelled his visit to Seoul due to a family emergency.
The "Sex and the City" actor has called off his scheduled trip to South Korea to attend the 16th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival on July 19, after receiving an unexpected news Tuesday evening that his mother's illness has seriously deteriorated, his agency, Sanders Armstrong Caserta Management said through a press release.
Showing his dedication to the dearest and nearest, he reportedly dropped all promotional schedules and flew to Hawaii, where his mother lives.
Noth's agency officials apologized to Korean fans in behalf of the actor, saying that Noth was very much looking forward to his visit in Seoul and feels sorry about canceling the event.
Last week, the PiFan PR team informed that the actor is to visit Korea for the first time to strut the red carpet during PiFan's opening ceremony and attend the premiere of his latest film, "3,2,1...Frankie Go Boom."
Born in 1954, Noth has built a strong acting career through his roles in "Cast Away" (2000), "My One and Only" (2009) and his smashing hit TV series, "Sex and the City."
