I was going to copy/paste it for you, but not only does it not allow Aussies, you have to PAY to get the "free" trial issues. Then you have to cancel before they can bill you for more -- which most people forget to do. Sneaky bastards.

The premise for CI's Season 5, according to article in EW...
"It'll be Popeye Doyle one week and Sherlock Holmes the next", Wolf explains.

I hope the link worked for you, Katie. EW is also conducting a poll: www.ew.com/ew/article/poll/0,6115,1031185_3_0_,00.html ETA: I find the choice difficult with #3. McCoy or Goren?

I am pasting just the CI part. I am a people subscriber so I can get in there. I have copied all of the articles, including the other linked stuff, complete with photos. I'll send it to anyone who wants it. ----------------------------------------------------------- Law & Order: Criminal Intent TIMESLOT Sundays, 9 p.m. VIEWERS 12.4 million RATINGS Down 8 percent STATE OF HEALTH Fair to poor Dick Wolf's ''everybody's expendable'' producing ethos has long made him wary of building an L&O spin-off around a single lead. Last November, all of his professional nightmares seemed to come true on Criminal Intent, when Vincent D'Onofrio was hospitalized twice for fainting. Given the amount of screen time devoted to the 44-year-old actor, could the show go on without him? For better or worse, we're going to find out. Next season, D'Onofrio — whose head-tilting, pause-filled, eccentric interpretation of his character, a fidgety forensic detective who solves crimes by ''getting into people's heads,'' is one of TV's most love-it-or-haaaaate-it performances — will appear in just 11 episodes. And a new character — well, not exactly a new one: Sex and the City's Chris Noth, who returns as Mike Logan, the sharky detective he played from 1990 to 1995 on the original series — will pick up the other 11. ''After Gucci, I'm back to Moe Ginsburg,'' Noth quips. The premise (''It'll be Popeye Doyle one week and Sherlock Holmes the next,'' Wolf explains) is intriguing, if only because it sets up the possibility of a ratings battle between two stars of the same show. (It's a gimmick NBC seems to be cultivating: Over on The West Wing, Alan Alda and Jimmy Smits are engaging in similar shenanigans.) Some see this as a way to gradually phase out D'Onofrio, a charge both the actor and Wolf deny. ''It was exhaustion,'' says D'Onofrio, explaining his fainting spells. ''I went into the hospital, and they said, 'Look, man, you're just exhausted.' My body told my head, that's it. And my head was denying it.'' Wolf backs up the story: ''People burn out on our shows,'' he says. ''When Vincent is working, he gives 125 percent — and nobody can give that for 40 weeks straight. That's why he went facedown in the mud.'' The two actors might want to book a couple of sweeps episodes together if they stand a chance of beating ABC's Desperate Housewives, which has dominated the time slot. For now, NBC has no plans to move the show, so its cast and crew are hunkering down for the duration. ''We got bushwhacked by this sexy phenomenon that captured people's imaginations,'' admits exec producer Fred Berner. ''Three years from now, you'll be hard-pressed to watch an episode of Housewives and know what the hell is going on. But we're still making a product for the ages.'' How long those ages will last remains to be seen if ratings continue to drop at their current rate.

Also, if you want a physical copy of the issue call 1-800-541-9000. Ask for the single copy desk. The issue should cost about $4, postage and all.
