Hey, I´m back from my two weeks off. Guess where I spent them...in the States! and guess what I did on Tuesday night...hahahaha! It was strange, first time I watch it 'live'. I had a lot of fun in general, two weeks completely away from my computer, including this forum (sorry ). Now I´m back to my bored life and trying not to hate it. Holidays are so much fun!.

Techguy - so glad to hear that you and the Mrs. are close to the end of treatments! Bless her and you for showing such strength and good humor through it all. I hope she recovers and the two of you have a chance to celebrate the good results. caseyswife

Thanks for the good wishesCatbird, Sarahlee, Patcat, and Caseyswife. Yesterday, unfortunately, the radiation machine was down and Mrs. T couldn't get her scheduled treatment. That means she won't be ending her regimen on Friday, she'll have to go in next Monday to make up for the missed treatment. Booger! But at least we haven't got a call not to come in today, so we're on our way.

Oh no, Techguy, booger indeed. Still, at least you're winding down. How's Mrs. T doing?
The Chorus Concert went well on Sunday. Thank God we stayed in tune for one particular a capella piece (Randall Thompson "Alleluia"), and of course our director was trying to get us to lighten up. Smile! he'd mouth and make faces, and right before "Gloria" (which has this big huge dramatic intro) he mouthed Xena, Warrior Princess!. Highlights from other groups included "Rytmus" (Ivan Hrusovsky), "Love's Counsel" (Jack Jarrett arranging James Joyce lyrics) and "El Vito" (arr. Mack Wilberg).
Sarahlee, that's so cool! I'm jealous, but I know I don't have the talent/passion to do it for a living. We have a couple family friends who may be a secretary or whatever to pay the bills, but mainly sing and act as ringers for various groups around town. I'm hoping I'll be able to stay involved in church or community choirs though. (I learned back in middle school that if I'm not singing I don't feel complete, so even if I am a history major I got involved here at school.) I am extremely annoyed that the church choir CHristmas thing back home takes place while I'm still in school, but with Christmas Eve on a Sunday this year I'm sure I can squeeze in.
Oh well, at least my parents came up for the concert and took me to dinner, they also brought up the rest of my winter clothes and a good bit of Halloween candy. Halloween itself was very tame, because I spent all day writing a paper. TV at night, my roommate and I had some caramel and apples but otherwise quiet. I'm still sleepy.

PS: So did everybody get a lot of trick-or-treaters? Did the moppets make out like bandits? Techguy, how were the borrowed neighbor's kids?
