I do remember Bogosian mentioning that when a person from the squad brings donuts in for everybody, that means he (or she?) was lucky in love the prior evening. Sort of a celebration, I guess. Eric also stated that Ross would get involved with someone & bring in his own box of donuts.
I don't believe that the "Smile" donuts were brought in by Ross. If they were, then it was lost on all of us. Maybe they were brought in by Bobby? He had a date with the little ballistics expert?
LOL Just kiddin' ;D

I don't like when they air episodes out of order at all! Also, if they actually filmed Depths first, why is it that in Amends Bobby is still on leave for the death of his mom? Also, how did our VDO seem very overweight in Amends and not as much in the other episodes? I know he is a great actor and would gain weight on purpose for the role. Was he trying to show that the death of his mother, his time out of work and his depression caused Bobby to gain weight? I just cannot explain it though because Amends was not filmed first - how could he gain and lose weight so quickly in-between episodes? I know I'm obsessing but that's why I'm here!! Any thoughts???

I don't think anyone mentioned this... but when I was home sick yesterday and watching CI re-runs I happened to see "Legion" and I thought that Jamal Dupuis mom looked familiar and I just looked it up... and sure enough... she was the crazy mother in "Smile" ... and in "Crazy" during season one according to IMDB...
WOW

Good catch, effie. Will have to catch "Legion" again & compare. If it's the actress I'm thinking of from "Legion" she much heavier now.

That scene in "Legion" with her was very memorable. Who was she in "Crazy"?

Just got done wathing LO and they had a similar plot. Poison chinese toothpaste but this story also had another ripped from the headlines secondary plot in it. The court case about the pants missing from the drycleaners. The highlight of the episode......LUPO!!!!!

I was not pleased with Eames' final remark at all. Actually I felt quite a bit of anger toward her and actually said, "What the h*ll was that?" (yes, I talk to the tv sometimes lol.) I did not hear any hint of affection or get the sense of sarcasm. Her words seemed straight-forward in a flat tone to me. Hmph. That made me mad too and sounded very out of character considering the way she was near tears when she had to admit the letter she'd written about requesting another partner on the stand. Sorry, but I don't think so. Someone forgot to check the continuity. For the most part I really liked this ep, especially Goren. He was so good with the mother especially....AWWW! But I thought the little girl dying served no real purpose at all to the story and was frankly gratuitous. Not to mention stupid - like Goren and Eames wouldn't have gotten the rest of the mouthwash first. I also found it hard to buy the other boy dying when he looked so healthy in hospital, they should have made him actually look a little sicker or had it be one of the friends who died. Speaking of, would you please explain to me how come the kid said it was him, Toby, and two friends and we never learned what happened to the two friends? And while I'm griping - what was the significance in the forged mouthwash? They made a big deal over the six peaks instead of five and yet never explained who was counterfeiting or where that fit in. They could have used the time with Toby's little sister dying for that!

Gorensgirl, I asked the same question, about what happened to Toby's two friends who also drank the mouthwash. It wasn't addressed. They did address the white kids from Scarsdale that were also poisoned being "OK."
Good point about Goren & Eames not uncovering who was circulating the counterfeit Snowmint. That's where the DA's office would have come into play. I can see him wanting that uncovered along with the murders.
According to an interview with CI writer Charles Rubin on the Major Case-US site, Eames' comment was a resigned acceptance of the fact that she's chosen to back Goren as her partner, and with that comes a certain"tainting" of her career. Alot of people disliked & misunderstood that comment, including me. So it was a relief to hear that it was an affirmation of her loyalty to him. But I agree, it was ambiguous.

That makes more sense. Still, I'd have preferred something more like "We're stuck together," and a hint of a smile. Anything with a bit of a smile.

I'd have preferred something more like "We're stuck together," and a hint of a smile. Anything with a bit of a smile. Well that certainly would have been appropriate given the episode title. It also would have spared fans a lot of angst, requiring the writers to have to explain what Eames *REALLY* meant.
