It's 53 degrees, GM is bankrupt, and we officially need "papers" to have lunch in Ontario. But, hey, the Wings are up 2-0. Happy June from Detroit ETA, happy birthday and anniversary to all those celebrating!

Happy June to you, too, Trisha. It's 68 degrees in the shade here (with a balmy breeze blowing) and I'd like to know what happened to the whole month of May? Happy Birthday to all of the June babies.

Well it was in the 80's down my way today and thank God the NBA playoffs are nearly over! They mess up my L&O schedule on TNT! I own a Ford and live too far south to think of "lunch" in Ontario, but then again all I have to do is mosey on up the road a ways and I can eat in "Mexico" (the restaurant, that is!). Happy Birthday to all the June babies and please people. . .get married in July! YIKES! ;D

It went to 91 here today. The dog days of summer have started for us. I hope to go to Niagara Falls this summer on vacation and we plan on spending some time in Canada so we all have our "papers" in order.

Like Rangerhm, I'm a diehard NY Rangers fan too. But while not openly rooting for the hated Red Wings, I wouldn't mind seeing them win the Stanley Cup to give the city something positive to cheer for.

Cold here in TO - between 10 and 19 degrees but windy.
As Frank McKenna said when Bill and George came for a visit yesterday; "It's a sad day for canadians crossing the border." But then he started get whiny: "We thought we were special."
Here's hoping June is full of the joys of spring, if not summer, for everyone
Btw: the leafs suck - I'll root for anyone else

I guess it's warmed up in TO, Sirenna. We've been setting new records here in BC. Got up over 90F in some places.
This morning, I heard the weatherlady use the S word for Calgary for tomorrow. ;D

Well My Birthday is coming up, I will be 47 on June 20th, not sure if I will be able to be online then, I haven't been much lately. I have been reading alot lately. June 16 I will be finally getting my surgery done. Hernia Repair and excess skin removal, I will be cut in half, and left with many drains. but I hope in the end I will be glad it is done. Since losing 208 lbs. I am left with lots of hanging skin in my abd, and else where, but other areas don't bother me as much and can be delt with later. So I will be recovering for awhile. I hope to be up and around before my granddaughter is born next month. I wish other June babies and anyone else having an aniversary this month congrats. Also my daughter will be 20 on the 21st. Hope everyone is fine and happy. Luckly this mess with GM hasn't caused my hubby to lose his job the dealership he is working at has remained open, I hope no one else has had any hardship. God Bless you all. RC

A lovely post, ragin. I'm also a June baby (12th) but I try and forget birthdays lately, LOL I'll be praying for you during your surgery. I know you're a strong lady, so hopefully you'll be up and about in no time. The bad economy had deeply affected so many people around me, both friends & family. My husband was laid off quite a few months ago. Thank God for unemployment and for the unemployment extensions that Pres. Bush, Pres. Obama and Gov. Patterson (NY) have signed off on. I don't know how we could have made it otherwise. Good news is that a long sought position for my husband has finally come to fruition. Hopefully he'll start in a few weeks.
