Does anybody think Sarah Palin is overreacting to David Letterman?

Not just Sarah Palin but the whole media...they are the ones that keep these things alive. this and the Miss California thing. If they did not care about her answer after she lost she would have gone away never to be heard from again but they made her the monster that she is that won't go away. The same thing is happening here. Stop reporting on it and it will go away!!!

I'm a Letterman fan, and am appalled that someone as willfully ill informed as Ms. Palin (regardless of her political party) became a governor of a state. But Letterman's jokes did make me uncomfortable. But Ms. Palin and her camp overreacted (and in a statement so poorly written that it's almost impossible to understand). All they needed to say was that they thought the jokes were in poor taste. Calling Letterman a "pervert" is unjustified.
As to those who question why the Obama daughters haven't been subjected to such treatment, well, first, the oldest Obama daughter is only 12. And the Obamas have tried to keep their daughters out of the public spotlight while the Palins shoved their pregnant seventeen-year-old in front of the cameras. I smell the stink of hypocrisy.
But I have to confess Sarah Palin is the kind of person I hated ever since high school. Yes, I'm a liberal Democrat, but I wouldn't like her if she was to the left of Ted Kennedy. She seems proud of her ignorance.
Sorry to cross into the political fields.

what are the requriments in becoming a state govenor in the US clearly being inteligent/informed is optional(Palin, Balgovich), so it would seem are ethics and credbility and honest. no offence.,we here in australia have our problems to but they are somewhat different(somewhat the same).
Letterman is a bit over the top sometimes with some rather poor jokes(at least from what i have seen over here).
so how is this new digital television thingy(does it work), were getting rid of analouge over here soon some time(can hardly wait). Regards Rom.

Didn't Chelsea Clinton receive a fair amount of Late Night Show jokes?
And I agree Patcat. Aside from the whole puppy dog story and other official functions, the Obama daughters have been virutally "invisible". At least over here (I haven't followed every little bitty detail).

Ragin, wishing you the best of luck and a most speedy recovery I am very sorry to hear of your loss, Cassie. I missed the whole Miss California thing as much as I could, and I don't watch Letterman or bother with anything that Alaskan idiot has to say anymore. Sometimes ignorance really is bliss ;D Rom, the digital tv thing seems to have gone off well. There were procrastinators, of course, getting converters and crying for help at the last minute. Those, like me, who've had cable tv for a long time, didn't notice a thing. And if you think the Govenors are bad, you should check out what's been happening in the New York state senate! It's hilarious. HILARIOUS. Sorry NY'ers, but it is.

The Obama daughters stay out of the spotlight at their mother's insistence. Chelsea Clinton was the center of vicious attacks by some, don't know if Letterman was one of them.

As a New Yorker, I's so embarrassing what's going on in the Senate. What a bunch.

The New Yorkers are consistent, at least. Even their representatives to the Continental Congress never knew what the colony's legislature wanted them to do.

I have always enjoyed Letterman. This back and forth with him and Palin has left a bad taste in my mouth. I love his humor and any politician is fair game. Yet their kids are off limits. I know the oldest has been out their with her fight with the boyfriend. That, in my opinion has been stupid. If her mom had any brains at all she would tell her to shut up and just raise that child. Fighting in public doesn't help her cause or her child's.
Hope Dave just moves on and makes fun of all the really easy, stupid stuff politicians do everyday. From Biden to Palin, there is some funny stuff out there. Dave should just look at the NY politics. That is a wealth of comedy gold.

hey trisha digital tv over seems to be more a change of signal than anything else but we dont really know much(apart from it will be digital and there maybe an extra few channels but what not much infomation). hopefully it works.
speaking of hilarious and rather stupid i think our response to this swine flu thing has been borderline pantomine at times and frankly rather farcical(i mean it is one tathing king commense sense but when goverments start to panic things become crazy and laughable) and the media coverage has at times been a hoot(i mean swine flu outbreak and some how we will be struck down with bird flu at least acording our media).
so what do you think of this Tarp(lousy acronynymn,) maze that bush and co created.
