You know .... I kinda don't like the a+ A a- scoring .... it leaves it too stretched out.
I see the point about wanted some delineation - but then I think that person must decide to bump it up or down a point; just that we have too few member that actually vote.
NOW - if ALL our members voted - then it may not feel so stretched out.

Metella, I don't know why there isn't more participation in the episode polls. I can't explain it, it is what it is. As for option choices, I'm considering a format with A (for the upper echelon episodes) and A- (for excellent but not quite in the uppermost echelon). Maybe we should have a poll to decide the poll format! I'll decide when the next new episode airs and the lightning bolt of inspiration for the poll strikes me.
Caseyswife, score one for my dry wit!

I didn't mean to be anal when I suggested A- a couple weeks ago, I just liked the option for someone (myself) who was wishy-washy between A/B. And I figured if I begged for the option I ought to put it up in my next poll ("Dramma Giocoso"). What is it teachers and choir directors say? the better you are the more nitpicky they get.
Love the Marx Brothers shout-out! Groucho is just great. I'll shut up before I get completely off-topic.
Come on people, vote! If you're reading the thread, it's not that hard to click a bubble!

oh, I think all formats are ok - it is just - well when the 3 A's are so equal - it almost takes away from the feeling that 80% gave it an A .... kinda feels more flattened. Maybe the 2 A's is ok a poll for the polls ha! but really, I don't want any changes just for me - I was just communicating. but I sure hope more people will just push that little button and even if they don't post - communicate with fellow board members in this way. I KNOW you all peek in at these pages - we can see how many times a thread is read .... so you are looking - if you are shy use this as a safe way to participate.

The point to be stressed here is to VOTE, regardless of the format, to have some voice on the board, and still remain anonymous if that's your shtick.
On the subject at hand--"Vacancy"--it may not be the Marx Brothers "Room Service" but it could be a network TV acceptable variation on the theme of Scorsese's/De Niro's "Taxi Driver"
Travis Bickle, meet Lester Summerhill. (I wonder if De Niro did any "research" for his role in TD?)

When I joined up, before I really felt down with actual posting and communicating, I went through the episode polls and did a bunch of voting. Made me feel like I wasn't just lurking suspiciously I still go back and do an old poll every now and again, and bonus- they're funny! It surprises me that they don't have more responses.

LOCIfan, I've been called many things, but Grand Poobah is the first! I'm thinking I might adopt it as an alternative name for this board! ;D
BTW, thanks to all who have commented on my polls. Unless someone else beats me to any of them, I'm planning on pulling out all the stops for the final episodes of the season!

But you know my seagull nature! I specifically reserve the polls to any episodes in which Nicole Wallace actually appears. (Shout-outs do not concern me.) So I reserve the right for those polls. Otherwise, Grand Poobah-Techguy, go to!! You know we love you for it.
