Remember when the papers printed the spoiler for "The Crying Game" - watercoolers (and Aerosmith's song "Dude Looks Like a Lady" for that matter) have never been the same. I think spoilers attempt to make a bigger celebrity out of the spoilee than they actually succeed in ruining an intended surprise. The character, Nicole, will still surprise us with her appearance, I'm sure, in CI's future - (I can hear the groans in front of the tvs now across America - "Oh man, she's back...honey, which ending did you vote for last year? Doesn't our vote count?" Nicole has had quite a romp in NYC, and quite a dance with the detectives - why not one (or two) more? I think the show's dance card has room for it. Sherlock danced with Moriarty more than once, or twice, no? (Note: I think my vote for CI/fate of the Nicole character counted more than my vote for US President - alas, and most unfortunately, Bush is still in. Maybe during next election's scheduled debates, America votes like they do on American Idol - text messaging rates would apply, of course...)

This is one of those black and white situations, it seems. Where Nicole is concerned, you either love her or hate her, and ne'er the twain shall meet. I've enjoyed the Nicole Wallace episodes immensely, but I accept that there are many of you out there who haven't. I shall quietly look forward to this new Nicole episode, and hopefully thoroughly enjoy it when it is aired on Aussie screens. Some time next year. *sigh* Although (and I just have to add this, and please don't flame me for it), personally, I'm kind of hoping the PTB might see fit some time in the near future to release all the 'Nicole Wallace' episodes (with commentary by Vincent, Kathryn, Jamey, Courtney and Olivia) on a separate DVD. Gawd, I'm practically drooling at the thought....
