Hopefully the cow wouldn't be named Nicole and I agree that it would be very hard to have a cow! We shall have to wait just a little bit longer to see what happens!

Being a college student I can indulge in this one instance of immaturity--told ya so, told ya so!
And I again stake my claim to creating the episode poll. Hey Mods, is there any way I can start a thread now but not do the options until the episode airs? Or is that being especially bratty/selfish?

Let's hope you won't have to start picking out names for a cow Nicole...lol.lol I'm with you with this one. I have enjoyed the confrontations Goren has had with her...but that last episode with her was a little too much...Down with her for good.lol.lol.lol. Off the box now... and back to you. Shadow

Well, reading the little synopsis Nikki put up, sort of raises my interest radar. Though, a part of me thinks they're putting 'ol Nicole- ubberb*tch in the season premier just to entice in more viewers. The plot sounds interesting though, maybe Nicole will be the Goren match she was in Anti-thesis and POI. Great Barrier was a huge disappointment for those of us, who have not seen her at her best/worst in Anti-thesis and POI. (just the clips on theReel site) Isn't Kevin O'Conner Jerry O'Conner's (Crossing Jordan) brother? And yes, I hope they "resolve her" in some way in this episode. I think she's used up enough of her nine lives...

Charlie O'Connell is Jerry O'Connell's little brother.
Having Nicole Wallace in the season premiere makes me much less interested in the premiere. She was good in the first one, marginally annoying in the second (that psychobabbling at Goren annoyed me) and beyond boring in the last. I didn't even watch the end because I'd read what happened here so that it wouldn't have happened in my mind! Or something like that, lol.
Don't have a cow, NicoleMarie! Have kittens. They're cuter and you can sometimes give them away at the grocery store.

The one from Crossing Jordan is Jerry O'Connell.
Kevin J. O'Connor was in Signs of Life and the series Gideon's Crossing, among other things.

I am so excited that a new episode is a little less than two weeks away! Even if She Who Shall Not Be Named is in it.

I'm one of those rare birds who's neutral on Nicole Wallace. But, must say that I'm interested to see what they do with her now that the fans have voted to keep her around -- particularly since Balcer's first instinct was to kill her off in the last episode.
My only prediction -- and NicoleMarie, this means you'll be birthin' a full-grown cow -- is that she doesn't die in this episode. We'll find out soon enough, but if she lives -- you heard it here first, folks!

Actually, LOCIFan, I don't think she will be killed off either. I don't think CI ever had, or ever will have, any intention of killing her off. (Yes, I'm cyincal B***h!) D'Onofrio seems to like the Nicole shows, which, I'm sorry, is diappointing to me, but, eh, oh well. And if KindaSortaDeadNic doesn't finally die for real, I'm gonna do more than have that cow!

I understand what you mean, LOCIfan, about keeping her around. "Well, the fans voted, we might as well hold her in reserve". Makes you wonder if they're holding her for Goren's grand exit in however many seasons. I dunno--I hate to see any more examples of idiocy, but maybe this will be the point of improvement in the writing. If they redeem themselves without descending to melodrama, keeping her alive, well, OK. If they screw the pooch again, ugh. But I'm trying to remain objective--ha!

I know I'm probably going to be publicly flogged for this, but I like a good nemesis for the good-guy stars of my shows. To me, it would be beyond boring if the good-guy alway "got his man"...or "solved the case"...and we know Mr. Wolf is all bout not always having happy endings. So, even though she is the ubber-b*tch, Nicole plays that part well, and I kind of like having a character that can make Goren react in ways he usually doesn't with other criminals. She's one of those bad guys I love to hate...and I do like me a good bad-guy! *evil giggle* I don't think she'll die in this episode, but they could keep her around and still resolve something. Like finally put her in prison. I WOULD like some resolution with her character...she's almost getting a supernatural essence. *grin* And if they did resolve Nicole - and CI sticks around for another season or so - I hope they find another Goren-worthy badguy to shake things up. Ari from NCIS is another badguy I love to despise. He's a great untouchable evilee..especially after last season finale! *ducks rotten tomatoes being thrown* Nicolemarie - if you do birth a cow, can we name him Norman? *heehee*j/k ;D

I have to agree that a good bad guy is hard to find--I've always thought Conan Doyle made a mistake in using Professor Moriarty so little (although Moriarty's purpose was actually to have a villain worthy of killing Holmes).
Nicole/Elizabeth has served to define Goren in many ways, but I also think she's outlived her purpose. She hasn't changed or adapted: he has. Goren has had worthier, or at least, more frightening opponents--Tagman, Nelda--and the Evil One seemed fairly pathetic in her last encounter with him. That said, I would like her to get a more dramatic end.
