Perhaps I shouldn't ask, but what brought this on, OBC? I enjoy examples of network stupidity, especially from No Brains Central.

Check out some of the threads at the USA board. There is a poster there who is an obvious hack for the network, peddling all sorts of nonsense and making Dick Wolf the evil villian while the networks looks squeaky clean. I'll PM you the person's handle. The posts are annoying, but they are starting to make me laugh because to me it is so obvious what is being done. The network must be sending out talking points...

Wouldn't that be a fun job, though ... surfing Internet boards and filling them with your company's propaganda? I've recognized the person to whom you are referring. You can just tell by the way he puts titles of shows in capital letters/bold (or something like that ... I don't want to go look) that he is not ordinary folk.

Is it possible this person just has a contrary opinion? I don't think Dick Wolf is necessarily the most virtuous dude in the universe.

Nah, MJ. Contrary opinion is one thing...changing your story every time someone refutes what you've said and continually banging the drum in favor of the networks and making sure to plug the show at the same time...nah. Network lobbyist.

OBC, I never post on that board, but I do occasionally read it and I spotted him right away. He is very obvious in what he is doing and it does get rather annoying after a while. You would think he would try riding a different "horse" for a change.

These are difficult times, more so for some CI fans than others so I'll be brief.
Two things: The tone of this board in some areas has, in my opinion, strayed into areas that expose raw nerves and emotions. I don't want to get involved in debates about what scenes are "important" or relevant if it leads to discounting or disregarding the opinions of other posters. Let's rise above the temptation to prove ourselves "right" at the expense of others.
Next, I'm dismayed that some CI "fans"--not so much here but elsewhere--are openly declaring their wish that CI "tank" or go down the tubes in ratings so that the show will be cancelled. While I understand the disappointment and frustration over the cast changes and the departure of key characters, I don't understand why someone would want to rain on the parade of other CI fans who are embracing, or at least willing to give the show a chance, with this all-or-nothing attitude. If you don't like the "new" CI or whatever this reincarnation will become, don't watch. Just don't openly and blatantly try to ruin the experience for those who don't share your views.
End of rant. Back to our original programming. Happy Easter and Happy Passover to those who celebrate. May everyone enjoy a beautiful spring day wherever you are.

I confess to being one of them. It may not speak to the better angels of our nature, but I want them to feel how the effects of Vincent and Kate were treated have affected us. To me they were the heart and soul of the show; even as a Logan fan I admit that.
It's nothing against JG or his fans, I just won't be watching myself.

I didn't realize that you had posted these intelligent, insightful thoughts. I wholeheartedly agree. No single posters' opinion should ever be discounted. People should gently disagree (a favorite phrase of Patcat) and then can post their own opinion. When did this become so difficult to do? Same thing with what a poster wants to discuss. God knows we've nitpicked much smaller details than Goren's lean - tie clips, eyebrows, stubble.....just to name a few. I'll be watching the new LOCI. It won't be the same, but I'm willing to give it a try. Not watching won't bring Goren and Eames back. VDO is done with Goren, so it seems.
