Okay, I thought so. I wasn't entirely sure because in 'Phantom, she had an accent & here I don't think she does.

Taking into account the continuity of season 5, Australia's Channel 10 is now two episodes late in airing In The Wee Small Hours. Now, this is less of an issue for me, but I know plenty of people who watch CI and have been eagerly awaiting this particularly episode.
I'm starting to suspect that Channel 10 is going to air it as the season finale, and if they do that I bet they'll cut it in half and hold the second half over to next year, to use as the season 6 opener.

I was screaming at the tv when the mock Nancy Grace (who totally deserves to be mocked) jumped out of the limo to get in the shot of Bethany's body being found instead of doing anything to help or console that poor mother. Yeah, interesting. I was laughing at it too. Apparently, not only the actress for that role looks and talks like Nancy Grace, the character's name is like hers too: Nancy-Yancy; Grace-Faith. The writers might as well just call the character Nancy Grace if they weren't worried about a law suit. I have to confess that I didn't think highly of the episode until I watched it. I heard that it's based on Natalee Halloway and that's when I just decided that the episode wasn't worth watching. I might sound cruel, but with all the news channel covering stories about her every single day at prime time for more than a year (Even when the Pope died he only got like 2 weeks of air time), I'm just sick of her story now, and I just went nuts when I heard that LOCI made an episode based on her. But it turned out that the story works out perfectly. I especially like the ending, where the Garrets are all arrested for their crime (but I'm still mad because Ethan got away with only 3 years for criminal negligence), and the parents of the victims have peace in mind. Even though I hate the Natalee stories, but with all the chaos on TV right now, I really feel sorry for the Halloway family and I wish they can catch the perps responsible for her disappearance. I think the TV did a perfect job giving a resolution to the case. I also like the fact that in the episode, unlike the Halloway case, they also added in the character Tiana, she's like a symbol for all the unnoticed kidnap victims. In reality, there are hundreds of missing person cases out there, many never got a chance to be on TV, and Natalee's being on the headline news for over a year. I think Tiana is LOCI's own protest to the news' unfair coverage of the Aruba case. In addition, it's the first and probably the last episode of Logan and Barek ep I'll watch. They did a terrific job! I loved the interactions between Goren and Eames, especially in the court. One of my favorite quotes in the ep: When Goren was in the club showing the sketch of Ethan to the waitress, she said: "No I've never seen him. Is he your grand child?" (That line just killed me. I was rolling on the couch laughing til tears came out. Ok, maybe the grey hair gives her a reason to say that. But still, he's got a cute baby face. How can anyone think that he's a grandpa?;D)

But for different reasons, I just felt it was too fresh of a wound for the Halloway family who lost their precious child. There are alot of movies and books made about true crimes and sometimes I think we forget that the familes that are left behind are made victims once again. BUT..... I still think it was one of the best written and performed episodes ever! and I wouldn't mine more 2 hour episodes with the Fab Four

Cassie, I agree, it is cruel for the Halloway family, but also in a way, I think this episode is like a resolution for the family, almost a symbolic justice for the Halloway family.
It's the only AS and CN ep I've ever watched, they both did great. I think I'll miss AS next year, even though I don't even watch her eps.

I was late to the game becoming a LOCI fan -- I didn't start watching till after this episode aired. And now that I'm a huge fan, I fear I'll never see this episode because it's 2 hours long. USA and NBC have played Slither, what, a hundred times? Thanks to The Reel, I did get to see Eames on the witness stand. What a performance!
And Eleana, I'm with you. The girl's remark to Goren -- is Ethan his grandchild -- is hysterical. I'm dying to see his reaction. As for how she could say something like that, well, VDO looks older than his years the last 2 seasons. He may not look like he could have older grandchildren, but he certainly looks like he could be a grandpa . . .

Hello LOCI Folk! This is my first post, so I figured it fitting to make a comment on one of my all-time favorite episodes. It took me a while to get used to Logan's episodes (I never really watched the original LO), but this one made it (got the best of both worlds, hehe) for me. I've seen "Wee Small Hours" only about 3 times now, but I've nearly bawled during Alex's scene on the witness stand each time as if it's the first. The respect, protection and...LOVE she shows for her partner, despite the rocky beginnings, nearly flows from her like an aura. And at the same time she always holds her own, rolling her eyes when Goren gets...well, we know how he gets! and yet replying with an appropriate quip to show she's completely on the same page as he is. If she was ever afraid of him as she claimed to be, she has definately gotten over it; thank god KB returned after her maternity leave...I had no patience for that other chick -red-head-what's-her-name who flinched at Goren's every move. No, there is no substitute for Alex, when it comes to being Bobby's partner. She is a fabulously brave, intelligent female role model who can kick some serious perb ass when need be, even when several months pregnant! As you can probably tell by my username, I started watching LOCI for VDO - been a fan of his since at least "The Imposter"- and have since gotten my mom and sister hooked on the show ...and my fiance, but I'm sure for different reasons? ...Now in the process of "catching up" with the original LO, and I love LOSVU (despite how riled up it gets me about focusing on all those child molesters and rapists...I suppose it's a kind of therapy I guess I have lots to catch up on, what's it been, like 12 + seasons? Time to go rent the videos, and finally learn to program my man's DVR as the new Tuesday schedule is up against House and what seems to be a cool new show-Standoff. Gonna go read some more hilarious postings on "You know you're a Goren fan when...." ;D You guys are crazy-I love it! -stealthisvincent p.s. where do you find your avatars?

FYI-I believe VDO's oldest child is in the early teens (but it's been a while since I've checked a bio)...and while he's looked a bit older than his 47 yrs lately, I wouldn't want to think he "looks old enough to be a grandfather" haha But you never know these days! stv And Eleana, I'm with you. The girl's remark to Goren -- is Ethan his grandchild -- is hysterical. I'm dying to see his reaction. Love this epi, Watched part one last night, noticed a messup with costume dept. When Logan and Goren leave to go stack chips with Dino and Sammy, when they arrive Goren is wearing a diff suit, but when they get back to the interogation room Goren is back in his original suit, but now Logan's suit is diff.
