Well said, Velocity! I don't even mind Noth. He was OK in the Mothership though I confess my favorite actor there was Jerry Orbach. The new Mothership isn't the same without him and LOCI won't be the same without V. I will look forward to the eps where Goren and Eames are back.
But Logan was a hot head in LO, which is what got him exiled to Staten Island in the first place, and his clamor to do so well with the murder in Exiled didn't work. He pooh-poohed the psychological things in LO, so unless he's had sensitivity training and it took, he isn't going to bring any thoughtfulness, empathy, etc. to Major Case.
Yet, his move to Major Case must be a promotion, don't you think? He was a regular detective in both LO and in the movie, Exiled. Maybe he'll do something Sunday night to prove himself and thus earn the promotion and transfer.

Bishop will not be returning to partner with Logan. It will be a 40+ woman with enormous name recognition from film as well as extraordinary talent. TPTB at Crim Intent do not want to veer away from the psychological aspect to the episodes. Source? "Page 6" reporters never reveal them. Thought the info might be interesting to some.

Frankly, I could care less about the direction CI takes once Goren (and Eames?) are gone. Sources. I could care less about sources too. Or "star power". And I'm being nice. hehehehe ;D ETA: I'm slightly willing to give a new CI a chance, but certainly not Noth/Logan.

Gee all this upset speculation gets everybody going. well for what Its worth I have been following all this "speculation" since Vincents fainting. It Is true that Vincent has a five year contract everybody knows that, but I have said that since season 3 Vincent was looking tired and bored, yes bored. He said that once he got bored It would be the finish, and I honestly think that Vincent cant take Goren anywhere as Interesting as he did from season 1. He also stated he didnt want to lose contact with his films and wanted to do at least 1 or 2 a year, well that didnt happen because of the demanding scheduale on CI, plus he Is In 30 out of every 33 scenes per ep. Vincent and Dick Wolf have a very respectful work ethic and friendship, anybody can see the way he speaks of Vincent In all and any Interviews he has only the highest regard and respect for Vincent`s work on CI and as a person. Im sorry but I think that all this talk of Vincent being an SOB Is just malicious, and If this was the case we would have seen Vincent kicked to the curb long ago, contract or not. Vincent needs to move on and this is a gentle way to ease the fans Into his exit, whether It be at the end of his contract or a little further down the track. (which we would like please, thank you.) Dick Wolf Is respecting what Vincent wants and Vincent Is respecting what Dick gave him 4 plus yrs ago. Sorry but I just listen to whatever Dick or Vincent say, just my humble opinion. Whatever happens I wish him the best and will follow him where ever he goes. Katie

okay nicloemarie calm down take it easy , your jumping to a conclusion here, yes they will be gone for 11 episodes but how they will air this anntoher question. i think they will proabbly intermix the two lots so that the audicne does get it regular share of goren and eames and they dont get to many compalints about there being t omuch logan( just my idea of how ithink they will handle this). as for kathryn erbe i am sure there is a reason she has not done an interview recently, i mean from her most reccent interview i think she sounded like she was getting a little pissed off not being able to be spend enough time with her husband. i think she welcome this devlopment so long as her character is still well written. i also think that dispite the fact that we have not heard from in infoamtion or articles ia msure she was aware of the palns and proabbly had quite a bit of say over the idea, i mean, i dont think the plan was droped on her like a ton of bricks iam sure that talked to entire cast about it not just vincent. i do sometimes think that wit interviews they tend to forget katrhyn erbes role but when it comes to negtioons i am sure that she is fully aware of most details about what is going on in reagrds to the show and how it wil laffect her contract. okay all jsut my tow cents feel free to disagree if oyu want. reagrds rom.

.....Sorry but I just listen to whatever Dick or Vincent say, just my humble opinion. Whatever happens I wish him the best and will follow him where ever he goes. Katie WELL SAID! And I totally concur! If I'm going to listen to anyone, it's certainly not going to be some "anonymous voice" sharing their insights via the internet as to the motives of those they've never met nor spoken to, themselves; jeeesh! Which is why I only pay attention to official Press releases or on-camera statements made by producers & actors. Everything else is PURE speculation. Which can be an amusing diversion or a means of "venting" ahem; smile. But if someone intentionally and with malice aforethought throws their darts and tosses their knives at people who don't OWE THEM ANYTHING imo, save a honest day's work on the set.... man.... What does that say now about them..? Eh? IMO: Real fans just grumble & moan - another day on the Forum, etc etc. Whereas pseudo's do not. And reveal the truth of that unwittingly so; it lies at the heart of their obvious intent, there for all to see - why they bothered to post their shite up, in the first place. Just my 2 cents worth; smile.

I figure that there will be a long story in the NEW YORK TIMES in about a month that will have interviews with Mr. Noth, Mr. D'Onofrio, Mr. Wolf and possibly Mr. Balcer. And that will explain all. It's not infallible by any means, but I trust the NEW YORK TIMES more than anything except my friends (G) Patcat (and it's not JUST because I was quoted in it (G))

Just because you don't like what someone has to say, or not say, does not give you just cause be so openly negative/hostile. This is the second time that Ointmentfly was chased off by D'Onofrio fans, and I say cut it out!, please! This is not now, nor ever was, a Vincent D'Onofrio fan board. Like it or not, some of the posters here actually *don't* like him. Please find a way to coexist with them peacefully.
And, like it or not, we do get visited by *real* insiders who chance to communicate with us from time to time. I'm not saying that Ointmentfly is definitely one of them, but considering that he(?) has offered information not yet available before in the past, I would certainly not rule it out.
Take whatever he says with salt, if you will, but DON'T throw it back in his face. This has never been that type of forum, and I hope to dog it never is.

im with trisha on this one here, unforunteley i am affraid that i may have been resposbile for chasing off Ointmentfly before and no it was not a a dlebiarate caculated move, just i doubted at the time whether he was an acutal insder but that is the past i am willing to hear what he has to say and if i dont agree with it just do as trisha sugesst take it as salt. i am not here upset people beacuse i dont agree with that they say. iam here to have a diccusion about law and order criminal intent. yes i may not agree with people may not agree with me thats fine. but lets all keep on coexiting like we have done for about a year rather suceesfully. it would be shame to see this obrad go the way the old board went for a while( no offence observer). reagrds all rom.

Whatever happens I wish him the best and will follow him where ever he goes. Katie WOWsers! *laugh* And let the spontanious self-combustion begin! (j/k) OK, I'm not going into any more speculation -- on D'Onofrio, show track for S 5, or Wolf's motives -- its all been said, and there's nothing to add. That being said, now I'm with Rom -- my little brain is cranking on who they'd pick to be Logan's partner. *hmmmm* IF Ointmentfly is bringing valid info (and I'm not going to go into weather I think he's(?) and "insider" or not) -- if she is a 40+ woman...I wonder what 40+ actress out there would make a good MCS detective? Dick likes brining back old alums of the other L&Os, maybe she'll have been seen previously on the mothership or something?? Maybe, she's a well-known from some other series? *scratches head* Who are you thinking of Rom, cause I'm drawing a blank on candidates. And thanks Katie : I like what you said and I agree. I'll wish D'Onofrio et.al. ALL the best,...sit myself down and be greatful for what I can get with CI. S 5 has a ways to come yet. ~ Mel (who can't wait to see what happens in Sunday's Ep.)

It's not infallible by any means, but I trust the NEW YORK TIMES more than anything except my friends (G) Patcat (and it's not JUST because I was quoted in it (G)) Chuckle!! And if you get paid for a quote, better still! As there's that season 2 DVD they're supposed to release one day - and those cost moola! ($65.00 in Canada.) Moreover and indeed; if/when they eventually give some interviews, that should clarify & explain all. Meanwhile, everyone remains perfectly at liberty to voice opinions & sentiments of course, whether they're shared by others or not. As giving an opinion in and of itself, certainly doesn't prevent another one from following it, in turn. For nothing's so indelible that it's carved in stone forever upon the walls of an internet Forum like a passage from the bible, impossible to contest, eh? I mean, all you can ever really own in the end, is what you think. As long as everyone is equally able to that, I sure don't see any problem with doing so.

Oh no, it's Elizabeth Rohm! WARNING--this is a joke! Patcat (who's slapping herself for being a bad girl, and must say that she feels Ms. Rohm was more the victim of poor writing than her own lack of ability, which, by the way, is her feeling about Samantha Buck as well)

HAHA Patcat! Logan and Serena, funny mix...hothead cop and Lesbian partner. (JUST KIDDING...trying to bring a smile to everyone)
Don't worry Katie...we like your posts and like you, I tend to make peace as well. *pats Katie*
We all seem to have VERY stonge feelings one way or the other about this change-up issue...and I for one.. heartily welcome the exchange of opinions. We don't all think alike...and the variety is what makes this a great board.
*my one cent's worth* ;D...I can only spare one cent...cause my brain can only hold a few pennies anyway..*big grin* ~Mel
